Yogah ... Oneness, Love and Harmony! Yogah describes the different faces, cultures and backgrounds of the UWI campus.

Depicting the love and oneness was a giant heart at the entrance of the fete, and we're sure most partygoers noticed that heart as most seemed to be in the fete-ing mood right from de get go. Now when we entered the fete, there weren't many folks on de inside as yet.... Trini culture at its finest again!

Let's see .... who was there? A bunch of performers and DJs. Dil-E-Nadan opened the show with an outstanding performance. Raymond, Rennie, Richard and Derreck Seales all out did themselves performing many hits, both old and new, not forgetting the reggae set which was something different for the Carnival season. Fete'rs enjoyed and appreciated the reggae, but we still feel that there was a need for more soca.... after all it's Carnival ent???!!!

Next up was Bionic Blaze and JW from the Red 96.7FM camp. Now these guys were hilarious. They sang their 2008 offering "Bamcee-ology" and had the crowd rollin' and jumpin' around in one love and harmony; their performance was quite comical. Who doesn't love Jason and Blaze??!! You gotta listen to their early morning on RED.

JW and Blaze were followed by Devon Matthews (also of the Red 96.7FM camp) singing his track for 2008 "Wine Down". Then came Lil Bitts wasting no time to set the Yogah crowd "On Fire". Bitts put on quite ah performance.

Music vibes on the night was provided by Titan, Associate Degree, Redymix, Emmanuel Sounds and Cyberia, not forgetting Hollywood Sachy (X-Caliber Disco) who had the mic in hand. Now, the long awaited Mr. Machel Montano HD was up next, and of course all the UWI girls ran up to the front to see the man himself blaze de trail.

Machel ran out on stage and gave his all as he performed hit after hit, ending things off with his hot new track for 2008 "Blazin D Trail". Farmer Nappy had everyone "Chippin" down de road, Zan was "Out On De Road" with all of his friends and the ever sexy Patrice Roberts was supplying "Mo Wuk". TJJ must say that Nappy, Zan and Patrice have really stepped their game up for 2008, and we are sure that the 'Carnival Babies' out there agree with us. Kes, Nadia Batson and Vincy's Jamsey P were other Soca artists that blessed the dance on the night.

Yes, we all felt the love, the oneness and the harmony at Yogah.

So until the next flex.... this is TJJ's Golden Girl in the sun. Peace & Love!
