OBAMA!!!!!  YES WE CAN!!!

That’s it end of review!

Lol!!!  No seriously folks, I  am still reeling from November 4th!  There was nuff excitement in NYC prior to election day.  I attended a few viewing parties for the debates in the city and everyone was in great spirits and pretty confident in the obvious choice.  I decided to stay in on election day after waiting in a hellified long line (BTW that was one line I did not mind waiting in) to cast my historic vote!!! My nerves were shot! Mind you I sat on the edge of my seat awaiting the results all day glued to CNN!!!

After bawlin' my eyes out and phone calls, text messages, e-mails and more bawlin', I was like well where’s the lime??

FFWD to Vice After Work Thursdays - Therapy!  I was told to expect to get free massage sessions provided an early arrival.  Whoo hoo! Sweet! We rushed into the city, but alas we missed the massage opportunity. Oh well, time to fete!

We noticed some random folks leaving early. It turned out to be some volunteers (photo) from Obama’s Headquarters in the city!  They distributed buttons and flags while hooping it up on the inside! On the inside, everyone in the dance was sporting buttons and wearing t-shirts etc with Barack Obama’s image!  We you know your girl was reppin with her t-shirt too!!! Hee hee!!! The dance was ram as usual! Folks, if you have not heard about Vice After Work Thursdays at Aura, well… yuh must be living under a rock and seriously missin out! The music was on point to say the least. Disagree if you want to, but this season’s R&B is da bomb! Not to mention my boy T.I, Rhianna, M.I.A, Kanye … maaan I could go on and on, but that should give you an idea of the hits that were droppin in there!!! Oooooohhh … Pop champagne ooooohhh!!! We makin arab monaayyyy!!! Lol!!! We were dropping it like it was hot without missing a beat! The reggae and soca without question is also always a treat! Ah wine fuh so!

So the DJ’s must have mentioned Obama about 11 times…yes I counted!  There were about 4 Obama t-shirts and I could not keep track of the buttons!!  Of course there was the usual masquerader roll call and TRIBE was definitely in the house!  Y’all know the next big bram to celebrate is Carnival!!! Lawd!!! YES WE CAN!!!  What a way to celebrate our President elect, Barack Obama!  YES WE DID!!!
