The skies are blue, the sun is shining and it can only mean we in paradise ~ Trini Jungle Juice in Tobago for Jazz!! It would be a fun filled weekend that would consist of limin' straight thru with little or no sleep - of course taking in a lil' Jazz or as some may call it, "The Back in Times Lime" that was happening on the island. smile After surviving a full day of limin' with our friend Mr. Johnnie Walker himself, next on the agenda was more limin' - and this rounds was aboard an All Inclusive Jazz Cruise put together by our padnahs Rocky & Friends, so you know drinks flowing like water!!

Now boat supposed to be sailing at 10am from Mt. Irvine Beach so why is it that we still having breakfast at our accommodations? Nah Nah, boat eh leaving on time, iz Trini's we talking bout here and to be honest we don't think we got there till after 11am and things were just starting to get going! (lol). With everyone finally aboard the catamaran thanks to the 'lil' perog that could' (more on this later) ... music blared, drinks flowed .. bap bap .. de PARTY NOW START! With a slight chance of rain, the weather was somewhat overcast but that didn't stop us from partying with a vengeance. With DJ Shot Master Jay (RED 96.7FM) spinin' on the 1's and 2's, we were cruising to all the hottest soca & reggae tunes sometimes venturing back into a lil' old school and hip hop. Again, did we mention that we were limin' with our friend Mr. Walker? Oooogyaddd oy! Head feeling nice fuh so! smile

Around 1pm we stopped for lunch at a bay and seeing that our lil' perog was taking so long to transport those who were not apt to swimming {note: boat cruise = swimsuits ... walk/wear it} many jumped into the water and swam to shore, only to be greeted by one of the largest sting-rays we've ever seen. You think people would get out of the water eh! Nah nah nah ... we dealing with Trini's remember! (lol) ... the sting-ray hadda get used to we! (lol) On shore, cruisers were given the choice of sumptuous fish broth, potato salad, rice, salad and mouth watering B-B-Q chicken. We had all!

Now some people took the term "man overboard" literally and this unfortunately cause the delay in the cruise making it's way back on schedule but say wha ... we limin, vibes sweet, everything nice! Upon heading back to Mt. Irvine we were forced to make a small stop to allow some passengers to disembark - quite frankly we were slightly to capacity and the coast guards were happily waiting round the corner - however being as late as it was and with many wanting to reach the Jazz Festival earlier than last night, it was no scene at all. Except for the poor 'lil' perog that could', which apparently flipped over earlier on a quick run to a nearby village, and messed up it's engine. But, in the end the perog made it through it all and saved the day! smile

This was the inception of the Jazz Cruise, and it was most certainly one of the weekend's highlights. About 100 sexy people on a catamaran with top shelf alcohol and delicious food surrounded by the beautiful, yet intimate settings of the paradise isle Tobago ... priceless!! We have one request - please hold our tickets for next year, because it's going to SELL OFF!!

TJJ hit land around 5pm, and Jazz starting at 6pm tonight, so we hustling and bustling in more ways than one, trying to make it on time. Tonight is Steel Pulse, En Vogue & Shakira - and missing any of the action is a big no no eh!!
