Hey honey bunches of oats! Its Labor Day Friday!! Everybody and they mother on the road!! Music ponging in a bout every yard. There's nothing you could do besides party ... and don't even think about sleeping!! Once again we headed to one of Sugarcane's shindigs and wasn't really too worried because the last one was off the hook. A few calls were made, the entire crew linked up and we hit the road. On a weekend like this, I wasn't expecting parking to be a piece of cake. We drove around in circles until we were actually thinking of going back home and taking a cab back. Luckily we found one! Upon approaching the venue now I coulda swear it was a block party ... if yuh see people!! Why they were on the outside? I have no clue. We made our way through the mêlée and after a quick frisk we were on the inside. While on the inside setting up, all of a sudden music stopped and the place was in darkness! I'm like but current gone or wah?! In less than two minutes it was back on. Phew! I instantly became aware of my surroundings and noticed all the decorations and props for this fete. There were moko jumbies, sexy body paint dancers on poles. The atmosphere was lovely! DJ Youngstar was on at the moment holding down the early vibes and so far the dance looking swanky. In less than a half a hour later it was ram jam. We wrangled up some drinks and at this point we rhel liking ourselves. Then all of a sudden lights came flashing through the crowd ... and I was busy trying to peep to see what was going on. The lights were none other than NYCs finest! Yes Babylon! (big steupss) Not one eh, but about 50 officers roll up in the fete. I'm like Bin Laden in here? Damn. But yuh know we like idleness! We well flirting with the police and they were posing for pics (photo) all kinda ting!! LOL!! The DJ then got on the mic and said "all good things must come to an end" It wasnt 2'o clock yet and the Po Po shut down the fete. Aww man and it was going rhel good too. They coulda give us a lil' bligh yuh know. Then to add to everyone's frustrations, rain started pouring. Mix Juice was still on the outside about to come in! Everybody started chippin' out with their heads to the ground, filled with disappointment. While others took advantage of the tasty food and went to collect their doggy bags. When I catch myself I realized the bar was still open and the line long eh! Only in NY boy, the party done but the bar still open!!! *lol* Don't worry guys, I'm pretty sure the next event Sugarcane has you'll get a chance to push bumpa's until the very end!! A
