Ok ... so my prayers have been answered, finally a fete where I did not see a drop of rain!

So on to de fete .... Soca Rave NY Edition. Da Canadians decide it's time to bring their rated Caribana Soca Rave fete and mash it up here in NYC @ the one and only Club Tobago. International DJ's from all over ... we talkin' bout NY's own DJ Dash, DJ Spice, Heat Wave Ent, & JAH Soldiers. From Trinidad it was C Wyllie & the original Dr. Hyde, and not to forget, reppin' for Toronto were Crystal Vibez and the one and only Dr. Jay de Soca Prince ... just to name a few ... Big Big line up, we tell ya!!!

As you we all know it's a big weekend here in NY, so it's nonstop fete'in, and since our weekend started since Thursday, I in the mist of no sleep ... but that didn't either matter or stop me from havin' a good time .... it's Laborrr Dayyy Weekend baby! By now I had already made my way to de bar, "to wet my whistle" as one partygoer said to me while trying to get a drink, and mind you it was kinda jam up by de bar, but the lovely ladies tending were working hard and fast. De bar was so busy, I even spot of of da club managers helping out!

Now making de rounds, I see there was alot of flags, but you know de Red, de White, and de Black was overpowering ... people from all over were reppin' ... Trini, de States and Canada ... ah even met a guy from Ohio! So I guess de Soca reaching far and wide!!

Seems that the Soca Rave concept party was a hit here in NY, cause it was so jam up in de place, and everyone seem to be having a hell of a time! It took me a good 5 mins to get from de bar to da dance floor!  All in all, the music was sweet (with that big DJ line up, that was expected), de vibz was nice and de night turned out to be a great one! Them Canadian's came out and did dey ting!!
