Date: Saturday 20th December 2008 Location: Zanzibar On The Waterfront. Washington, DC Promotions: Sekouflex Entertainment Click on thumbnails to see the big picture/entire gallery The US capital was cold, rainy and uninviting all week long. I was real trying to catch a vibes, but nothing seem to be happening until Saturday night come around and DJ Slice buy me Guinness by de the bar. Dat is right, despite the freezing rain I made my way down to the waterfront. Ever since H2O close down parking is not quite as difficult.
On this particular night, as with most nights, Zanzibar upstairs and down ram out and for whatever reason there seemed to have been no security between floors. Not that I went upstairs but I did notice x-amount of sweet woman making their way down the stairs and thru the crowd. That, and the fact that they treating me like a flower man in de club (no disrespect to any flower men). Unfortunately there was no live band, but de Iron Section and bottle and spoon made up for the vibes. Who say fruit cake, punch a crème and currant rolls??!! Correk Sekouflex take care of all ah dat, so by de time you was on de inside, it was warm and full of Christmas vibes. Dance was packed out, music was nice and drinks flowing. After much love from all patrons, I had to buss de tape to get to Regan National.
It was the 3rd Annual, and when I stuck in de cold and looking for DJ Super Slice to mash down de place with some "Chinee Parang," I know where I will be for de 4th. Just my luck, that this yeah, I get to see both DC and Trini for some Parang. Running to catch my
