"Roboman say wine, Roboman say jump... Roboman say wave, start to misbehave!!!!"

Waaaay Eclectik's "Roboman" is ah big chune and de only place to be this weekend and hear de biggest chunes for 2k8 was at Soca Launch (SL) 2k8, presented to you by Dem Fellas promotions at Palazzo Entertainment Complex.

Featuring live performances by Kerwin Du Bois, Farm P and Slammer Cutter for only 5 bucks before 11pm!! Who could go wrong with that?? Now with that in mind, this definitely had de fete-go'ers out in NUMBERS... there was a line almost around de corner of Palazzo but it was moving smooth. De TJJ crew arrived early enough, jus in time to miss de big line up... but doh get tie up, we still witnessed de rush before 11pm while we were limin’ by de front. From loonies to toonies (Canadian currency for $1 and $2) our weekly feters dug deep in their pockets to make up $5 before 11pm. It was ah sight to see!! LOL!!!! But for those of you that didn't make it in time to pay $5 for three BIG artists, this is why we always say "Get there EARLY to avoid disappointment!"

This event last year was RAMMED, so they moved it to bigger and better venue and it's a good thing they did that because by 12:30 am, this event at Palazzo was again RAMMED!!! Music was provided by the man that gives us that Soca Therapy, Dr. Jay (Flow 93.5) , alongside big names in de business MarXman, Jester and Chief from Worldwide. MC’ing for de night was one of the familiar voices of de KOS family, E Man.

The performances started off with Slammer Cutter who was telling the ladies "Do What Yuh Want", and you could see all de ladies doing exactly that!! Hehehe. Farm P then serenaded all the "Sexy Chocolate Girls" and had them weak. J’ouvert is going to be sweet (literally) with all de chocolate on de road and pure sexy girls!! Last but not least Kerwin Du Bois blessed us with his presence, continuing to sing to de ladies telling them he'll "Never Leave Ya" and forming ah lil “Gyal Farm” in front de stage. All de fellas to de back, and only woman up front!!! lol

Now this party was all about familiarizing our religious fete-go’ERs with de big chunes for 2k8, but not neglecting our favourites from de past. The "Party Animals" (Problem Child) were "Breathless" (Roy Cape All Stars ft Blaxx) from "Gettin' On" (Faye-Ann Lyons) and "Wavin’ It Away" (Kes the Band & Mista Vybe) ... Every "Posse" (Nadia Batson) was "Having a Time" (Roy Cape All Stars ft Olatunji) and luvin de new chunes "Unconditionally" (Machel Montano HD)!!!! Booooi... it was a rhel “Pressure Boom” (Ricky T) inside Palazzo. Feters went home with an ear full of 2008 Soca and ready to "Blaze D' Trail" (Machel Montano HD) for all 2008 Carnivals!!!

Dem Fellas alongside Dr. Jay and the KOS family OFFICIALLY launched the 2k8 Soca Rocket... so leh we get ready to paaaaarty non-stop for another GREAT year!!!!

Mizz Kayz for the TJJ fam
