The return of the upscale Caribbean event! Not that we can't party in a windowless room, or a turn-around restaurant, but trust! It felt well nice to party in one of the most fabulous and under-rated venues in Atlanta. Re-done by Jamaican architects coming out of Miami, Uptown Lounge boasts multiple sections for your partying pleasure. There are three VIP areas, a back bar behind glass for those who need a second to escape the music, a more private area upstairs, and small loft in front of the bar. So, dun know ... the place is built for a crazy party, but who securing de vibes? DJ Karim out of JamRock and Atlanta's own MixMaster David and what? Surprise! Rush from Code Red made a cameo appearance!

I'll say, things were a little slow on the start, with the Downtown ATL natives mixing in with the islanders, people weren't too sure what to expect. Some people start to complain about the amount of reggae whe a play. But! Liquor solves all problems, and as the clock pass midnight it was "beer" vibes! MixMaster David dun de place as usual and by de time we did do de Gully Creepa Creepa with DJ Karim it was time to move on out. One ting nice bout de place though. It shut down at 3am giving you one extra hour in de city whe teef whe we partying time. Good ting de next day was a holiday! Can sleep late!
