Hey Honey Bunches of Oats! Halloween as is a day where kids go trick or treating and adults put on outrageous costumes and have a ball. Now Halloween for West Indians is apparently another day to be half naked in costumes and get on bad. I wasn't to sure about where to head on Halloween because there were so many options, but at the last minute I decided to check out World Carnival and Rango's Masquerade Magic Ball. Around two in the morning the crew linked up and headed up the road. Parking was a breeze, and after 3 flights of stairs we were on the inside ... them stairs was a killer eh! Well we were greeted by three lovely ladies handing out shots, and after 3 of them, we were ready to walk in. 3 shots each by the way! Lol! Now the first ting I noticed were the costumes ... they were cracking me up! There were French maids, police officers, doctors, jumbies and an energizer bunny but nothing could top off The Foxy Alien (photo) or according to the DJ, The Illegal Alien!!! Lol! I'm sorry but my girl's costume was by far the most original and the best! Let's talk about the music now. DJ Starkid was on the wheels of steel holding it down then the Party Rocker, Back to Basics, arrived shortly after. Some really good R&B chunes was playing boy! I mean "Sexual Healing" ... "Kiss" ... that segment was popping, but a Halloween party can't be a party if Michael Jackson's "Thriller" don't play! The party ram, music swinging and drinks kept coming like water at this point. Fatal Angels were on playing some of the latest R&B. I was happy when they played that new Beyonce chune that I love - "Single Ladies". I'm singing it all now ... "if you liked it then you should've put a ring on it! Love it ... love it!!! We end up in de center of the dance floor and thief a lil' wine with Captain Jack Sparrow. Lol! It was nothing but fun fun fun!!! After 5am, we were still in de people dance having a time. The sun was coming up and DJ Spice was killing it with the soca. All kinda jammet wine taking place at this point!! But why when Stabbys song ("Go Stabby") came on, security come an run everybody!!! I was highly upset, but it was after 6 in the AM! Lol! I guess they wanted to go home after a long night's work. We had so much fun that on the ride home everybody was knocked out, including myself. It was a Blast! Text-a-holic Juice |
