The Life Saver Cruise 2nd Edition, a ram out party on the three levels of the Treasure Queen, was held on Sunday 4th May 2008. The difference between the first Life Saver and the second is that Pt. 1 was a day fete, and part 2 was a more twilight into night type setting.

Patrons were asked to be at the venue at 5:30 PM so that sailing time would commence at 7 PM. But knowing Trini's, that was going to be like mission impossible. At 7:55 PM we were still docked, although most folks were on board.

Well soon anticipation began setting in and I was getting so excited thinking well it's almost time to sail and soon the party would be in full swing. Then for some strange reason, the music came to a halt and the captain announced that this boat was not moving because a man jumped on board without a ticket. In local terms ... A STORMER!! Yes folks, where there is a good fete going down you bound to attract and find stormers. smile Well this man kept back production for a brief moment, and we were never informed if they ever caught up with him.

Anyways ... on with our story. Sailing began at 8:20 PM and as I looked over the railing I saw the sad faces of many who didn't make it on the cruise. I smiled to myself and was thankful that I was on board ... TJJ in effect!! As I took a stroll on each level I noticed that the crowd was a bit different from the last cruise. People came out dressed for the occasion as usual and were warm and friendly all the same. The music began pumping as partygoers sipped on their drinks and danced to great music, even bussing out the latest dance moves now and then.

Thank goodness for music selections provided by RED 96.7FM DJs Devon Matthews and Hypa Hoppa and house deejay Darryl. It was a night of fun and excitement as everyone seem to be having a good time. Now something seem to be missing ... but I couldn't quite put my fingers on it. Some people did agree with me on this notion however ... ENT!

ps. Rumor has it that this was the last Life Saver Cruise. Hummmmmm, we will just have to wait and see if this is true or not?
