Full Costume, Wassy Behavior & Non-Stop, Level Alcohol We "BREATHLESS" ... cause is the final day of "JAMISHNESS" in the 2008 Fetealotathon® and we have to "GET ON"!!!!! ISLANDpeople (IP) say the band meeting on Cipriani Boulevard for 7:00 AM sharp or you'll be left and have to use bMobile or Digicel to find out where the sexy band is located. Promptly at 7:30 AM, we take off for the road and we heading for the jump up or should I say the chip ... people still tired ... nobody wake up yet ... people still putting on their make up & glitter. Man not even drinking yet, they still on the Lucozade - hahahaha - wham to allyuh is Carnival Tuesday ... where de "Jamishness"??? Turning on Tragarite Road, the sun in we eye and we moving ... the mas start ... the brucking out start ... people done eat their breakfast, they eat ah two, three snack and it's all about pace and drinking now. We swear the band was going downtown but NAH ... ISLANDpeople say, we going straight onto Park Street!! In front of us were Pulse8 and TRIBE. Who say go take ah lime (and wine) with we peeps in TRIBE? I say so! Is all about ah one love! So okay, by the time we arrived at corner of Park and Charlotte Street, we have to get in we sections ... get in your sections - all twelve lavishly designed sections. Sorry, I mean "Chapters", talk about innovative thoughts!! So we chipping on Park Street and we turning up on Charlotte Street - real pictures were being snapped ... our cameras couldn't even be selective ... people were looking REAL SEXY and GLORIFIED ... they deserved our attention, even while they were eating!! Miss Grenada World 2007, Vivian Burkhardt, also added to the band's sexiness! While waiting on Charlotte Street, people were TAKING THEIR JAM on the road, on the pavement, on the Port-of-Spain General Hospital fence (why people love to jam on the hospital fence so??!! hehe) and on the music truck with Ricky T. Well boy, we just ready and anxious to cross the stage. The best time of all mas - THE STAGE - the energy mixed with anxiety ... ah boy ... makes the waistline bubble more, more I say ... Jam On, Jam On, Jam Up On It, Ride On, Ride On, Ride Up On It!! "ISLANDpeople Mas presents Animal Instincts", said the spokesperson over the microphone as they introduced the band at the Savannah stage crossing area. Man we miss the actual stage in the Savannah, but the road will have to suffice! Wave after wave, the twelve chapters of Animal Instincts crossed the Savannah stage; and wave after wave was just pure jubilation and winery. Security and police officers taking ah wine or should we say being WINED ON ... people just doing what they want ... it's all about freeing up!! IP Mas chose Machel Montano's "Blazin' The Trail" to cross the stage, and all five music trucks supplied the masqueraders with "de heat awwww de heat awwwwwwwww ... from the top of the hill to the bottom of the valley ... we blazin' d trail, we blazin' d trail..." Montano himself, enjoyed yet another year playing mas with IP. The band crossed the stage with class, style and most important ORGANIZATION. You could have seen all chapters of Animal Instincts in it's glory ... ALL!! Even if masqueraders' costumes were falling apart or for the revellers who wanted to stay on the stage forever, the band remained organized when crossing the stage ... MOST organized. We got to mention the two fellas who were doing push-ups at the stage crossing area... we still don't get it, but say wha ... it's all good! After a heavy stage crossing extravaganza, the band stopped off by Queen's Royal College for lunch and some rest. Eat ah food, drink ah drink, skin out on ah pavement, take ah jam or two ... it was niceness. Who say people now find the band and didn't even get to cross the stage ... muhahahahahah ... laugh at them ... hahaha. Peoples, there's no sticking when it comes to Mas!! NONE!! So lunch and relaxation done ... time for the true bacchanal to begin. Passing King George V Park, straight onto the stretch heading back to the National Stadium, IP truly delivered a great chipping experience for their masqueraders. The stadium held the after party - who say drinks truck park up, music truck park up and everybody just get on!!! I'll end by saying that our 2008 ISLANDpeople Mas experience was great! It is a must return! ISLANDpeople Mas is the band! Don't deny them, don't question them ... it's worth the G's!! I give them two thumbs up and my kudos ... Boop Boop! Like I said after Carnival Monday, I dey next year ... and ah not wukking (I dun tell de boss man). I coming to wine and do push-ups on the road too!!!!! Rah Rah!!! Ah Gone!!! Carnival 2K9 ... I ready!!! Amiel
