Hypnotic’s 5th Annual event, promoted by 5.1 Edition and GSS Ent. was held on the 8th March. The event was being held between Chancery Lane and City Thamslink, close to the Financial District at the exclusive club Alibi. This spectacular place is decked out with wonderful leather sofas and modern style dining areas, a DJ booth perched above the dance floor and a well stocked bar that was fully staffed. The bar had areas with a vintage touch, but still managed to be modern with some art nouveau.

Unfortunately, it was a very rainy night, and as such it seemed as if many people found it hard to come out their warm homes!! Now the club was hard to find for some, even though maps and proper directions were provided by the promoters. Also the location was far from the tube station for commuters, and as a result, many loyal patrons got to the venue cold and damp. In order to warm them up, there was excellent food on hand provided by expert chef Brian Danclair. Danclair used the bar's facilities to provide hot, freshly prepared food. We even caught one person taking a doggie bag away, trying to hide it under some coats to eat later. smile

There was very small crowd on hand but that didn't stop people getting down on the dance floor to the hot tracks provided by the Gladiators and other DJs. There was a promise of a rhythm section, but there was none on the night. If the weather was better we're sure the turnout would have been better. The party eventually wrapped around 2AM. Needless to say, it was a cold and wet drive home.
