As I made my way into Country Club the party was already swinging. Venue must be packed cause is cars as far as de eyes can see. De KFC security guard of course was organizing his weekend rum money with scare tactics of certain cars of his choosing being towed away ... yeah, he get my money too!!

The entrance was decorated richly conjuring images of Persian wealth, quite apt for Harts’ 2k9 presentation ‘Persian Empire’. Once inside, the ambiance of the Country Club’s courtyard added a picturesque backdrop to the bacchanal that was taking place. People ent make joke wit dey coolers ah tall, ah tall. Doh play ya come late and want to find place fuh ya cooler ... is quite-o, quite-o fuh you!! smile Ah mean coolers everywhere with people on top, hugging up, and of course using them as support while brukking out to the latest tunes. I doh tink I see anybody not wining down de place and having a time. Of course, you can't go wrong with a cooler fete as that instantly puts people in a Carnival frame of mind, and the Harts crowd was no exception. Tell ah man to bring all de drinks he could ... and what ya expect? This crowd come out to have a good time. From de time I make out folks in shorts and the like, not forgetting their rags and flags, it was easy to identify de kind of activities they come for. Perusing the venue I noticed that the dance floor was ram with more coolers and jubilant partygoers. Yes, I said jubilant! Unfortunately, I couldn’t lime too much in de depts of de dance floor cause all dat heat was fogging meh camera lens. Ah feel like ah was in a Convent Mayfair, yes!! smile

To the left of the entrance was the costume display room which was a great idea as you were able to get a close up look at the costumes in air conditioned comfort, at your leisure when you wanted to take a break from the mayhem. Also, this meant there was no interruption of the jamishness taking place outside with a presentation. And no awkwardness of inspecting the materials and beads on a live person. Not, that I doh like to see a beautiful woman in a carnival costume!!

While we there, Imij and Co. took the stage and kept the party pumping with their renditions of hits from all genres. They switched it up from old soca favourites to the latest in dancehall as they had the crowd bubbling to tunes like Mavado's “I’m So Special”.

Later on KES The Band featuring Nadia Batson came on and did their usually full length performance driving all de young ladies crazy!!! Chunes cyah done, yes!

All in all I saw no frowns, just euphoric smiles as people of all ages took a wine with their friends and undoubtedly got hyped with anticipation of Carnival 2k9 on the road with Harts! I doh know what time that party finish, it was real late when I left, and ah shame to say that I leave de party almost as ram as I find it. But ya see I had my cooler home filled for beach in de morning!! Hahaahaa.
