With everyone either home in Trinidad for C2k8 or home in their beds suffering from a serious 'Carnival Tabanca' because they were missing the jump up this year, the February Episode of FRIENDS had a smaller turnout than usual. But with everyone reaching back in town, the vibe had been building for March's episode. One month was enough time for those of us to get over our tabanca. And for those that made it to Carnival, another soca fete would surely help to keep the fading memories fresh in their minds. They really should have called this episode "The International Affair", because folks were in town from all parts - North and South. We had the sisters down from Atlanta, and Nicada across the pond from London and her crew in from Trinidad as well. Yes we know Atlanta is not an international destination, but you get the point!

So you know with the vibes buzzing, we had to make sure and get there early, and no it's not for the FREE entry before midnight, cause TJJ always on the list at FRIENDS. Shortly after 12AM, folks had already gathered inside and a line was forming outside. Seems the 25 and over crowd like to start their partying early, or maybe the ladies like the 2 for 1 drinks, who knows? So we elbow up to the bar and by now the bartenders know how we does do it - so it's just a look and a nod and then voila! Goose and Cran, no Red Bull for lent!! ;-)

With Major Links on the set in the early session, they were warming the folks up and setting the nite off to a good start. Special guest DJ Niko Star was next up and changed up the vibes nice nice, with a mix of Dancehall and Hip-Hop ... a lil something for everybody. So by the time C.I.Dee Sound take a turn on the tables partygoers were more than ready for the Soca, and they so obliged. And so it went with the 3 DJs taking turns keeping everybody waist moving.

As we have come to expect, later on in the night (after 3am) we started to notice folks with styrofoam cups in their hands, so we know that could only mean one thing..... CORN Soup, YES!!! This was also missed last month. We made our way to the back bar to see a line for soup, oui! And the DJ ent even announce it have soup yet!!! This time there was some cheese paste sandwiches, which go down real good after 3 nods to the bartenders. Hehe.

As usual, a good time was had by all and the vibes started one time for next month cause they say next month is BACK IN TIMES!!! And we remember the last Back in Times party, so this time we getting a jehri curl high top fade, and we go be looking real sick dread!
