Jingle F.R.I.E.N.D.S. ....... Jingle F.R.I.E.N.D.S. ........ jingle all the way, oh what fun it is to dance to some Soca Parang today ... REMIX!!!!

It's December that means three things ... Punch-a-Creame, Pastelles and Parang!!! Three of our favorite things, and only 1 more F.R.I.E.N.D.S. left for the year, so you know we had to be up in that. We knew there would be a sizable crowd for the last event, so we did our best to get there early, and we finally arrived before 1am to find the venue already brimming with a modestly sized crowd, and quite nicely decorated for the holiday season - very festive! Speaking of festive, the spread laid out on the table behind the back bar was quite festive too! In addition to the aforementioned items there was Sorrel, Chow Chow, Hops n Ham and Cheese paste sandwiches. We know food don’t last too long at these events so we not straying too far from this bar, so we can be first in line.

So as we made time to mingle in Jingle F.R.I.E.N.D.S., we saw some new faces making the scene and one Mr. DJ Dorenzo enter the premises to add to the vibes along with resident DJ Major Links , who were on the early set. Mr. Magloire is no longer a new face at F.R.I.E.N.D.S., but this time he did bring along Miami Heat Rookie Joel Anthony to enjoy a lil' Trini Christmas Party vibes, and from the way he was nursing that glass of Punch-a-Creame it looks like he enjoyed. As we noticed that he was drunk from the Christmas stocks already, we say, "nice food serving eh!" Waaaaay ... we reach jus in time for 1 piece of pastelle and the last bits of ham ... jeez n' ages!!! Now you see it, now you don’t! Food don’t last in F.R.I.E.N.D.S. a'tall, a'tall.

Now it wouldn’t be a true Trini Christmas party without some Parang and Soca Parang, and C.I.Dee Sound obliged the folks when it was their turn on the set .... we could listen to the 2004 Christmas Riddim all day long, yes! But this is still foremost a Trini party, so that means a lil' bit of everything got played that night, and partygoers were loving it when Dorenzo hit them with the Hip Hop session. As usual, a good time was had by all. Can't wait for 2009!
