As usual with parties in South Florida ... they cyar done! So even when yuh have dozens of bashments going on on a Saturday night, the FRIENDS crew is one yuh could definitely count on. And it was no different tonight. This party has now well established itself as the monthly event on plenty ah we calendar. Oh and by the way, did I mention that the Sosta Lounge staff has graciously lowered their drink prices?? Which of course means more rum for me, more rum for me, more rum for me!!!! And so, with more money for drinks, FRIENDS "Summer Tabanca Episode" was one to look out for.

Not wasting anytime, and in true South Florida style, even with Crop Over (see coverage) taking place in Barbados, you know we still had to represent and mash up the place right here as we always do on the first Saturday of every month. The resident DJ’s did their thing from the word “go” and had the massives moving all night long. For some reason, the DJ’s had this episode of FRIENDS ram pack with soca, and the massives didn’t seem to mind at all. After the last "Hypa Active Episode" episode, which had mash dong d place by the way, it seemed as though the sweet soca vibes was the right flex this month. Even tunes from back in the days of Black Stalin and Kitchener was flinging, so it was no surprise that nuff wine was passing and even some of the slightly older patrons was tearing up d dance floor.

The TJJ crew in attendance was a lil' slim, but nevertheless, did what we always do. Of course by now, everybody in FRIENDS know that if yuh have a camera in yuh hand, yuh covering for Jungle Juice and so is pictures galore!! But in between all them pictures, allyuh know yours truly was keeping an eye out for the best corn soup that has become synonymous with a FRIENDS party ... play like allyuh don’t know! LOL! But wait ... minutes to 2am and no corn soup in sight? What madness is dis? Sad to say, but the corn soup was not in attendance. With belly empty, it was back to the dance floor to get some more shots of the now thick crowd in attendance. By the way, that corn soup incident was a slight overlook, one which I will personally not permit to occur in the upcoming September episode. LOL!

So it’s about 3am, and I still seeing people coming in d party. Allyuh feel Trini's does be late? Lord have mercy. I guess some people like to come when the party real hot yes. I have to admit, that this episode of FREINDS was extremely enjoyable. It somehow seemed that the partygoers just were out to have themselves a good time. And so, that was how the party went on till after 4 in the morning.

Well, after all dem hours of jamming and wining, iz time for d party to done. But as with most of the parties, yuh know people start complaining that they eh want to go home. Oh gosh, let the cleaning people do they wok and go home to they families nah!!! So with that said, somehow I found that the party moved from inside the lounge to outside on the street. Oh well, small ting. You know any place is good for a lime. As for me, I said my goodbyes and I went looking for something to eat. No fear peoples, we will be back for the September FRIENDS "Soca for Change Episode". And oh yeh, doh dare forget that corn soup eh!!!
