Usually on Carnival Sunday, the rule of thumb is to take it easy, slow it down ah bit and just relax ... right? Hmmmm, who say so?? Well one thing for sure, is that the folks at Euphoria did not believe this fable ... please ... and TJJ was right there at Endenu to give testimony. With the event located in the heart of Downtown Atlanta, Wasi Entertainment in collaboration with VP Records and Global Exposure goal was to ensure partygoers were given the best treatment. And that they did - from the venue's location, good food, easily accessible bar to some of Soca's biggest artists in Peter Ram, Jamsey P and Problem Child. Together with all the beautiful people in attendance, this was the making of something special. MC Skywalker backed by DJs Foreign Base and DJ Touches did a fantastic job in keeping the Euphoria partygoers on their p's and q's - at least until the introduction of St. Vincent 2007 Road March King, Problem Child, with his Carnival hit "Party Animal". Stirring up the party animals ah bit, Problem Child gave a very good performance and soon made way for the next guest artist. Mr. 'Ah Need ah Woman by My Side' Peter Ram from Barbados was next on stage, and absolutely thrilled the crowd with his big 2008 tune "Pumpin". More than impressive, Peter Ram delighted the crowd as he stepped down on the dance floor to take ah lil' wine. Well, he actually took more than ah lil' wine with ah beautiful Panamanian and ah sexy Trinidadian .... but who could blame him??!! Ram even had his own back up singers in Problem Child and Jamesy P. No wonder he kept signaling to the back to raise the pitch!! *lol* And from one artist to the next, the baton (microphone) was passed to Vincy's Jamesy P, where Peter Ram returned the favor as lead back up singer alongside event promoter, Wasi. The fun was evident!! Jamesy P's 2005 hit "Nookie" erupted the Euphoria crowd even before he got to sing 2008 "Bashment Freaks". By this time, it was just about 4AM, and the hard working TJJ TV crew met up with the artists backstage for interviews. The promoters did a great job in the organization of this event and even offered a few give-a-ways in the form of CD's and gift bags. The morning went smoothly and it was time for the TJJ Crew to make their exit. With the Atlanta Carnival action is coming to a close, Euphoria was a good sign that the ATL 2008 Carnival was a success!! Much respect to Wasi and de entire Atlanta Carnival Committee. Big ups to Paul... bless up!! JoyJuice for the TJJ Fam. ==================================== |
