So, it's Spring Break weekend in Miami, Easter Weekend and the Eve of the Winter Music Conference all at once ... a potent party tri-fecta, assuming that you have Monday off. Unfortunately, your TJJ reporter had to work on Easter Monday.... but the promoters of Eden had it set up nice, and with this being the kickoff event for the Winter Music Conference, red eye or no red eye on Monday morning, Eden on Sunday night was a must!

Now Mother Nature took a turn in South Florida with torrential rain all weekend, so we were a bit concerned that the fete might buss, especially with Grass Lounge being an outdoor venue. So, we rolled up in the dance around 1:00am, and seeing no line and only security outside, we were surprised to see a nice-sized crowd on the inside grooving to the sounds of Walshy Fire and DJ Dorenzo under and around the massive Tiki Hut that is the centerpiece of Grass Lounge.

Apparently, the word is out about Eden ... come dressed to impress and get your grown and sexy on! The women were all dressed to kill and showing off their sexy, and the fellas were certainly doing their part to represent as well. While the crowd may not have been as thick as expected due to the inclement weather, the vibe inside was real sexy. The music was on point, with a nice mix of Soca, Dancehall, Hip-Hop and R&B. The main bar at Grass Lounge is really the focal point of the venue (www.grasslounge.com) and has to be seen in person to be truly appreciated.

Overall, there's something about the combination of Sunday night, upscale venue, good music that sets Eden apart. We're expecting things to be taken up an even higher notch at the next Eden, Memorial Day Weekend in Miami! Like Mr. Slaughter say, Trini Jungle Juice ... We Up in Dat!!!
