So for the lucky few, there was no work on Monday in observance of MLK day. While for some of us, having the day off was only a Dream. But plans had been made to attend Eden from long time, so a lil' red eye on Monday morning was gonna have to suffice.

The Grass Lounge in Miami's Art District, was a new spot that we had not been to before, so we were looking forward to that. Of course we were eager to see what kind of 'forbidden fruit' would be in this Garden of Eden? Now it had been cloudy and rainy all day, and it took all of our might to get up out of bed on a Sunday night, but the urge was too much to resist. We didn't want to be the ones hearing about this party on Monday; we wanted to be the ones talking about it! So off we went...

Finding the venue was pretty easy... finally a flyer with proper directions. On the street, parking was fairly easy as well. Of course yuh know we late, so all the spots in front the club was gone, but say what. We walk up and it's a solid brick wall with a big wooden door and when you step inside you then realize you are still outside. It's an open air venue..... nice! It's covered by a hut like structure with a palm leave roof similar to Shade nightclub in Tobago. Only here it's very nicely decorated with lights and lots of tables and chairs for lounging. The bar to the back was well stocked and staffed, and off along one side, were small cabana type rooms for even more lounging, jus with a bit more privacy..... rhel nice.

Folks well 'dan it up' for this event, breaking out their Sunday best! Usually the ladies are always hot to death, but even some of the fellas stepped up their game on this night. We are keeping our eyes out for some more of that Black Heart Couture stuff... we could always step up a lil' bit more ourselves. There was a separate little booth jus for the DJs, and when we entered, DJ Dorenzo was on the 1s and 2s spinning MP3s. Niko Star was in attendance as well, and there was a real nice mix of musical genres played, something for everyone. And though most folks were in a real chill vibe, you cannot help but bust a move when you hear some BBD!

There was some buzz both before and after this event and we just received word from Mr. Walsh himself - mark it down from now - Winter Music Conference Easter Eden @ Grass Lounge Sunday March 23rd! HOTT of da PRESS.... mark your calendars!!
