Everyone knows that Memorial Day Weekend is a big, big party weekend in the States ... especially here in South Florida, and that means there are nuff choices when it comes to planning where to fete. Most folks knew they were going to the "Best of the Best" concert on Sunday, but before that the TJJ crew decided that Connection Royale "White Thai" was the hot spot for Saturday night. Knowing that Sig Juice cyah show up anywhere at a designated time, we decided to roll in separate rides. Especially since she lives like 7 minutes away from the Grand Palms and Golf Resort. Of course, we had the pleasure of standing outside, watching all the lovely ladies clad in white going into the dance. This only fueled our anticipation to get inside, cause even though the flyer said "Exquisite Asian Cuisine", it looked like they were serving "Eye Candy" on the inside!! smile It must be something about knowing that everyone else is gonna be dressed in all white, that make the ladies try harder to find that special outfit that will make them stand out from the rest.

Finally Sig Juice arrives, and just at the right time, as Gary Hart was brave enough to come outside. Allya dun know how nuff people always at the front door looking for the promoters to get a skip through the line. So you know we felt special as we followed him through the barricades right past the table up into the dance ... big up to Gary for the TJJ luv!! Just outside the main room there was a screen with the Connection Royale logo projected on it, which made for a great picture location. The promoters had spruced up The Grand Palms quite nicely for the event. And even more amazing was the fact that they pulled it off quite smoothly, considering that only a few days ago the event was advertised at a different venue.

To the left of the venue was the VIP area and bar (the 1st we spotted) ... so, we went to the left! It was like 4 deep at that bar ... yeah, did we mention it was an All Inclusive? So we said, "Aight let's check out the next bar." We doubled back and went to the outdoor section, which was less crowded, but no bar in sight. This was where you could get you a plate of Thai noodles and some chicken. Then we spotted the 2nd bar in the room just off the main dance floor, but that one was like 6 deep, so we went back to the first bar. But you get the picture? The dance sell off!!!

Finally, we make it to the center of the action and Bambino was on the 1s and 2s playing everything from Rock to Techno, and we spotted Richie D and Peter T waiting in the wings. Everyone was having a time .... eats, drinks, lovely people and good music. What more could one ask for? Best of the Best and Eden tomorrow ... got to get some R&R!!
