*Brrrrrrrr ….. teeth grinding ..… Brrrrrrrrr* ….... 1 Degree Celsius here in London – you think that would stop us Caribbean people from partying – but NO! We must party! The Lesser and the Greater Antilles must combine and come out together and we need to party. Where we heading? Busspepper Promotions of course! It's a Saturday!! Come on people … where else? But wait – new venue? Ahhhh! More spice to the pot! Tonight, it is in LightBox Club, Vauxhall. TJJ never partied here before so its all new to us! Theme tonight – Club Coconuts!!!! In London we Go Nuts!!! Idea – it's a Thursday, it's a Friday, it's a Saturday it's a Sunday night all combined into one! What to expect? Dancehall, Hip-Hop & R&B, Soca & Calypso, Techno, Indie Rock & of course Reggae! Carded for a great night with a children of the 80s/ 90s theme... and as usual we parting in London from 9 pm to 3 am!! Who will come in their hammer pants????!!!!

All excited, we conducted a little pre-drinks where we tackle down level Guinness and some Vodka and Cranberry! You know how it goes – we considered it the pre-lime in the car park! (Allyuh Remember?) Arriving at 11pm – our usual entry time – the line was long … Nuts!!!! Allyuh remember when the line was long all down the hill??!! Nostalgia!! Entering and embracing the venue and its décor ….. Nuts!!!! Nostalgia! The venue reminded us of nuts in a few ways: remember when yuh in the centre of the dance floor you have two elevated sides on your left and right; and the smoky atmosphere and the gimmicks from the projectors! Good selection of venue Busspepper! (even though it was the hardest crowd and night to work … *wipes the beads of sweat from forehead* … phew!) The venue was an odd design, but the bar service was great – I did not hear anybody complaining about getting drinks and drinks access were at an ease as well!! Kudos! No Guinness though... so kudos get a minus a half! Booo!!!!

Gladiators, Mr. Marvel & Markee - we going to dub them the Busspepper Kings - provided ALL the musical entertainment for the night and of course TJJ will always give them much respect and much thanks for providing the old and new tunes from each genre that had the crowd moving, dancing, kissing, talking and jumping (we even spy some dance offs photo 1 and photo 2) … basically setting the atmosphere!!! Trust us … they did it …. ALL …close your eyes with some some real back in times dub and you could have been back at UWI Thursdays!!! They perfected the timing of when to play each song, the mixing of the tunes and of course the HYPE from the guys on the microphone! Who say you cannot be on the mic and still take a jam from a sexy and gorgeous woman (photo)! We could never have been bored tonight … how could we?? … when you have Mr. Marvel asking us to "Bubble Like Soup", or even telling us to "Follow The Leader" (when last you see people moving down south and up north !!!!!) – further more … Gladiators telling us to watch out for the "Triumph" and the "Liquid Swordz" of the Wu-Tang Clan and even Markee interrogating us with "Carnival Monday night and yuh music truck Shut Down ... What yuh gonna do? " or how about "Who take the S off of Superman Chest and the B off of Batman Belly?" … real bang pang tune run! There is no way the crowd was sitting down or standing up unless they were tired or real twist!!!

Hasan and De Four Caterers were upstairs and they were serving us the good treats of bake and shark, pelau, corn soup or even some curry … all the delicacies us Antillean people are accustomed to and just love to have – basically must... bound to must have in our belly!!! Pang Pang!!

Furthermore & finally, before people started gallivanting out the venue – it was a surprise to find out we were partying until 4am! As Ricky T say … "Wam To Dem!!!!???" But TJJ was tired … we were completely exhausted from the sweating, the wining, the socializing … oh wait … the snogging!!! Cannot be a Busspepper without somebody snogging somebody … or somebody trying to take home a shag!!! Rah Rah!!!!

We back with Busspepper again people – December 13th 2008 ... some sweet Cuchi La La … doh miss it!!!! TJJ definitely gonna hit them up!!!!
