So we get there about midnight after a lengthy bit of time trying to find a parking space. There was the usual line outside the Abacus, as peeps queued up excitedly to go get their grove on. On de inside, there was a dramatic contrast between this “Bushfire” and the last Busspepper party, "Carnival Tabanca '08", noticeably, there was much less people. The last dance peeps were like soldiers at attention, arms could not even raise to wave about freely as the place was thick with people. This party had room; enough for de crowd to jump, wave, hop or even skip. And yeah, yuh guessed it ... that is exactly what the massive did!!!

Ah couple people said that they enjoyed this fete more than the last one as they had the space they needed to get on and mash up de place. It was easy to get drinks and one partner said, “Yuh could gape a lot better too.”

The DJs were as usual brilliant, flinging style after style. Hi Fidelity/Less Than Zero's Kern Crosby mash up the place with ah Hip Hop session that had people singing out loud ............. with some people embarrassing themselves cause they didn't even know the words. Gladiators Sound did their thang .... raise the roof business, yuh dun know! There were big shout outs to Mr. Toby Ottley, who was heading back to Trini after a long successful stint in the UK. He had his crew mash up the place.

The music ended at about 2:30AM, and everyone immediately headed upstairs to see Hasan for food. As a true master chef, he and his staff are always ready for the mad rush after the fete. No need for me to mention the food was hot and excellent; we have come to expect only the best from de dreadlocks cook. And to full all the space in yuh belly, Hasan was giving away corn soup. I take bout two cup and ah not shame to say it!
