Hey Honey Bunches of Oats! Once upon a time, around 400 years B.C. boatrides used to have a season. Nowadays, they’re going all year round, right through! Fresh Money, 187 Crew and Elegance Promotions were having their 2nd Annual Blazer Moonlight Cruise and I decided to check it out for TJJ.

The weather was plain ole horrible, with thunderstorms all day. Mind you, it's November in NYC, so that means it cold nuh rass! But we were still hell bent on going ... and the weather wasn't going to change our minds. By the time we found parking behind God's back, my curls were flat AND we had to walk like 6 blocks back to the boat in the rain! Steupsss .... oh well.

Finally we were on the inside. The décor was nice. There were leather love seats and a dining area. It kind of looked like a smaller version of the Titanic. Soon we found a liming spot and settled down to business. The first thing I noticed was all the girls looking sexy in their little get ups. Oh and it’s a blazer affair, so all the fellas went all out in their custom made blazers. The music was popping! I'm kinda taking a lil' break from soca (shhhhh), so I was loving the reggae and hip hop on the boat. There were two floors with music pumping from DJ’s 187 VIP featuring Young Chow and Spin City, Back to Basics, Elegance Sounds and Mr. Slaughter from X-caliber.

I chose to chill mostly on the floor jamming the hip hop and dancehall. Apparently there was food, but of course I missed it because by the time I reach it was all gone!!! All in all, we had a time and a half. My only complaint was the smoking ... I swear I caught a contact before I left ... lol! Oh and there were one or two questionable gwalas, but I had fun.

Good lookin' out Peng!

Feeling high off the ... ummm ... music (lol),
