Mister Benz here again for the TJJ family ... checking in for the one and only Miami Carnival 2008. And so, with the carnival fever at its peak, it was no surprise that the Friday night was loaded with fetes to go to. However, as is customary on Carnival Friday in Miami Carnival, yuh done know that Black & White is a must!

First, let me start by saying that once again, I would like to offer our sincerest apologies to the patrons of Black & White Mardi Gras for not being able to photograph everybody! Why? Because there were just too many of allyuh!!! Lawdddd ... talk bout a party ram out!!! Nuff people in dis place, yes! Iz a good ting we past the days of using film!!

So here we go again, and as we pulling up to the party, allyuh boy start to wonder wha going on. Buh wait? No traffic? Wha is dah one? The party buss awa? Nah, not Black & White. So we pull up and much to our pleasure, parking was a breeze. No hassle at all. Well done promoters ... we off to a good night. Heading to the door and before we even reach in, who we seeing YET AGAIN? Yep, das right ... the Stray Dawg Krew! Them fellahs everywhere yes ... but at least if yuh see dem boys in a party, yuh know it bound to be good. So we on the inside and lawd ah mercy .... talk bout people! Is woman left and right and back to the left again. Ah doh know if to take pictures or if to wine while taking them ... actually, I think I prefer the latter ... NO WAIT, I did the latter!

From start to finish, the party was moving. Chune after chune. Nuff big ups to the DJ's for doing this one the right way. Yo-o-o-o-ooo ... WHAM TO DEM! Somehow, that is now the official cry to get on bad ... because as soon as Back to Basics came on the turntables and run that tune ... it was all over! This man know how to mash up a fete. And if he wasn't enough for the partygoes, right after came Private Ryan, with a wicked old school dancehall session that took me back to Bazaar days in Trini. Remember Shabba? And what about "If I was a Rich Girl"? Lawwdddd!!! Trust me, the music in this fete was on d' ball. Well done fellas ... well done.

All that wining and jamming have me thirsty yes, but is so much jamishness going on, that is forget I forget we dealing with a Free Drinks party! A fully stocked bar that didn't BUSS! But, the lines were a bit long, and so by the time you got to the front of the bar, everybody just ordered 10 drinks at a time. No problem though ... drinks was flowing like water! So is beautiful people all over dressed swanky, having a bess time. Soca, dancehall and free drinks ... what more can a West Indian ask for? Well, being the "cyar please person" when it come to fete that I am ... maybe a lil' corn soup or something when d party done? Who knows ... there's always 2009 to plan for! LOL!

Nuff big-ups to Isle Of Rhumb Promotions for once again setting the pace. All in all, the party was really nice. Good location, good people, good music and more than enough drinks. Buh wait? Is only one more tune? Oh gosh ... look lights come on and party ready to done. Nah man, doh tell me I have to wait a whole year again ... steupssss. And you know how we doh like to leave people place ... easy dey Mr. Security man ... ah leaving ... let mih just finish with this bumsee! LOL. Even the security had a hard time closing down this fete, yes! Oh well, next year for sure. Maybe in 2009 we could actually get pics of everybody in the fete, but at this pace .... somehow, I doh think so. Black & White Mardi Gras .... well done!
