Remember back in the day when we were all at home and our parents were out partying and having a good time? When was the last time they did that?? Well this past weekend, Dianna, Dr. Jay and Ian Espinet held their Annual Big People Boat Ride on board Enterprise 2000, to cater to all the big people who havent felt the good ole days in a while! Ah mean we cant be selfish, it's time for them to come out and relax, unwind and have a good time... right??!!
This boat ride was set to sail at 10pm, perfect time to get in after work, relax and then head out for a night on the water. TJJ rolled up around 9pm with the usual scenes takin place ... everyone taking a lil' chip and sipping on ah drink in de parking lot before boarding. Once on board, we had Dr. Jay de Soca Prince holding down the turntables and Lord Nelson blessing us with his presence. The boat was rockin all night, every man jack was shakin ah leg or movin dey bumpa! Now for those people who were feeling ah lil' hungry, delicious West Indian Cuisine was included in the price of your ticket. We had to get on that because food is we friend!! *lol* With all the drinking, ah lil' corn soup and bake and saltfish did we belly nice! After digesting all that good stuff, we went right back to chippin around de boat ... upstairs to downstairs, the deck to the dancefloor! It was the perfect night for a boat ride because mother nature was co-operating for once.
Around 12:30am, the great Lord Nelson stepped up to perform, and when ah tell yuh de man was in style boiii! Matchin from top to bottom, he was on point!!! He performed his hits One Family, King Liar and Meh Lover, but when he dropped Disco Daddy de crowd went wild! He started to buss ah few moves while the crowd was jammin to his sweet songs ... ah guess the bess vibes triggered him off and he started to strip ... waaaaaaaaaays! We must say, his performance definitely lit up the boat because everyone was dancing and enjoying his oldies, but goodies!
The boat docked around 3am and as always nobody was ready to leave, even when they dropped the anchor the boat was still rockin strong! *lol* The TJJ crew had an early day ahead on Saturday, so we had to ride out one time. We picked up ah corn soup and souse for de road and were good to go! Time to ketch some zzzzzzzzzzz! We going WHITEOUT til its BRIGHTOUT tomorrow!!!!!
