Okay, we already know that TJJ is the #1 inter-outer-national Caribbean website, so of course we had to show a some love for our South people again, as we covered an event at one of the newest most exclusive night spots in South Trinidad.
Secrets nightclub located at Cross Crossing in San Fernando, is the newest club to be opened in South Trinidad. This highly eclectic club has a dynamic look and feeling, with special V.V.I.P booths that no one would ever imagine.
3 Some, a party endorsed by artist/dj 3rd Base (Hot 93.5 FM) decided to put together this concept for the second time. As mentioned in last year’s review (view coverage) … what’s a 3 Some? Well it's 3 women on one ticket, 2 women and 1 man or 2 men and 1 woman, but definitely not 3 men! That's a definite no, no! So the concept was unleashed at Secrets this year to give the South massive a chance to experience it.
It’s was a rainy Friday night, and from North to South, rain falling bucket a drop ... but it's Trinidad and nuttin' doh stop ah party!! Pulling up to Secrets night club we could notice what would seem like there were no cars, but then realized it had a big car park to the back ... phew! Rolling inside with ease, it was about 12.30 AM and the place full (not ram, but full). Located in the middle was the dance floor, to the left the DJ booth, the bar and a private (real dark) room behind, and in front, a dancing cage more or less (that's how it looks). In the next section of the club was an upstairs area with private rooms and two individual rooms (it only getting better) with beds and a magnificent Jacuzzi .... hmmm!!!!!! It's the first like this in Trinidad, not to mention the outside patio overlooking the streets of Sando.
Okay, back to the party! The vibes was building as the crowd swayed and swaggered. At every corner you noticed groups or “3Somes” just enjoying themselves. On the 1's and 2's the man himself, 3rd Base, was heating up things followed by Val, Xplosion sound and Shane Baird, as all had their segment of tunes to buss. Adding to this event, Lionel Jaggessar and Associates had a little launch as they highlighted their costumes for carnival 2k9 from their South band.
The night (or early morning) unwound nice and easy with everyone having a time with their “3some”.
