We left Plymouth Recreation Grounds after 1am, after staying back after the show was over for LL Cool J to meet with the media. Snap, snap... back up camera gear... grabbed some fresh fruit drinks (carrot & fig punch and carrot & peanut punch blends... Yummies Juice Bar, it tasted wicked) and we on de road scouting for a shuttle to get us back to the car park.

We on our way down Shirvan Rd looking for the after party. Keep in mind that Shirvan Rd is a long, long road... and the invitation does not have a number or a cross street. No worries, Tobago is a relatively small and simply island, so we must find it. Braps, we see a sign for the party and some cars parked. The TJJ Blue Team decided to call it a night, deploying the TJJ Red Team to continue the night's stories. "AFTER PARTY.... WE UP IN DAT!"

With a warm welcome at the door, we were on the inside in two two's. It's about 2am and with a very spacious backyard type venue, the dance had people scattered throughout in their crews. It's a premium drinks inclusive party, so everyone had a drink or two in hand. Now apparently, a lot of folks were already well liquour'd up from Jazz... especially since VIP was free drinks! DJ Richard Simply Smooth was spinning for the most of the night, and there were a couple of other guest DJs in the house. The musical vibes was definitely flowing, but with the dance so spread out, it was hard to build a serious feting vibe.

As the night progressed, people continued to trickle in. However, the atmosphere remained social for the most. It's a pity the venue wasn't set up to be more intimate, as the potential was definitely there for a great balance of socializing and hard-core fetin. Large up the beautiful Carib (Sam and Marsha) and Benson and Hedges girls on the inside. We caught up with some ole frens, and got better acquainted with some new frens of the Jungle. And a good ting too... 'cause after jazz is the after party yo... and after the party it's another party yo... Special shout out to Sharon, Cathy Ann and crew for showing us luv!

We believe this event can blossom into something bigger and better come next year.... but we're not 100% thrilled with the venue. Almost 5am, and the plan is to hit another after party, get some breakfast at House of Pancakes, hit the beach, get some crab n dumplin then afi-flyout to Trini. Hummmmm, where does sleep fit into the picture??
