kinda Memorial Day weekend would it be without at least 1 Soca party, and who
else would deliver such a party other than Generation X. We must say these guys
have been hitting us with shot after shot month after month, sometimes even more
than one event in the same month; they aint playing around this year. So
its Saturday night and we make the trip down to Bayside Hut, this time all the
way from West Palm, that is a haul. So you know we reach well after 1AM, at least
this time we had an excuse. We does always judge how the party looking by the
parking lot, and at this hour it was only like half full, but that may be due
to the many many other parties taking place this evening. Anyways, we make out
way inside, and is only then we realize is an All Inclusive fete. Unfortunately
somebody had already been to the cash bar and purchased a drink, fuss he aint
waste no time. So after waiting our turn at the all inclusive bar and ordering
our rum and coke, we ready to get our drink on. We know it was rum and coke we
ordered, but this drink here tasted nothing like that, more like petrol and soda.
This explained why the cash bar was so busy all night long. Now
you know by now from our past reviews how it go at the Hut, socialites on the
outside and the real feters under the hut. Seemed to be mostly a college crowd
under the hut and for those of you who can remember that far back, college kids
know how to party!! They spending mummy and daddy hard earned money and making
sure they have ah good time!! There were not that may flags to be seen but there
were two young ladies who were representing, and after a lil conversation it turns
out their outfits were made by another friend of theirs... Esstacy, she does nice
work. Fashioning an Trini and a Haitian flag outfit herself, ah mean after all,
it is a flag party! DJ Dorenzo and Special K were doing the deed
on this night mixing it up real nice, though they had to cut the crunk session
short as some were getting too crunk. Well
Memorial Day weekend is gone and already Gen X got two other events on the horizon.
Look out for "Rear of the Year" and their Miami Carnival 2007 Band Launching
"Kaleidoscope". --
