AHHHHHHHHHHH... what makes Carnival so much sweetah is knowing that Tobago is a 15 min flight or 2.5 hr boat ride away. After popping a Dramamine tablet to stop the nausea your trip on the vessel to sunny Tobago will be smooth sailing!!!

Carnival is a wonderful experience and every year just seems to entice you more and more to attend but Tobago is the place to get some rel R&R (Tobago Cool Down photos start on page 4). And after all dat fettin... winin down low... drunk as a skunk... toes mash up from being stepped on... lack of sleep... bags unda yuh eyes and all dat, Tobago just seems to whisk that all away with the sunny weather making you look like the real skin colour you should have and crystal clear beaches where you see fishes swimming right beside you? You almost forget where you actually live, and then you giggle cuz there were massive snow storms while you doing de backstroke in Store Bay knowing dat everyone who gone back foreign saying... "dat so and so!!" Ha!

When we arrived in Scarborough, it was so easy to grab a taxi! Steve (our taxi man) picked us up and dropped us to our hotel, Arthur's by the Sea in Crowne Point/Store Bay area. The hotel is perfectly situated and the staff was a great bunch a people yes... dey made sure you remained happy.

If you need a bank all yuh do is go left and RBTT right dey! You look to the right and any food that you desire is right dey! Chef's, located at de corner leading to Pigeon Point had some zesty meals for a reasonable cost... stew chicken, macaroni pie, jerk and geera pork, steamed veggies, oxtail and stew beef... whey, meh mouth waterin' ahready!!! But nutten could beat the lobster meal at Golden Star restaurant. Although we had to wait approx an hour for food, it was well worth it. The lobster was drizzled in garlic butter and wine sauce and it was the biggest lobster I had ever seen in my life yet alone to eat it!!!

Now to big up Tobago even more, you must take the glass boat across to Buccoo Reef, Pigeon Point, Nylon Pool and No Man's Land. Frankie who owns and runs Frankie Tours (www.frankietours.com) happens to be a good friend. Frankie has tours frequently during the day for tourists and also holds an all inclusive fete at No Man's Land upon request. His staff, including his down-to-earth brother Tom, is amazing and will cater to all your needs during this day trip across the ocean.

On this trip, we met some amazing people and funny enough they were from Toronto!! The lime on de boat was rel nice. From snorkeling to kissing up in de Nylon Pool.... (heh heh, dey say u do dat and u might get married an ting!) to rubbing de sand on your skin to exfoliate, to eating some rel good baked chicken, flying fish, macaroni pie with coleslaw, to drinking Stag and Carib and Rum Punch and doing a little limbo... who could ask for anyting more?

Dat same night we met up with some rel good buddies, Tyrone and Dunstan, who own and run Signature Lounge and the Toronto posse from de boat ride. Shade nightclub was the spot dat night and took us about 20 mins to walk there. The DJ played some rel good chunes from Mr. Slaughter's "Spread The Love" to Machel's "Jumbie" and all the rest that played for mas. The DJ mixed it up with some ol' skool, Hip Hop and R&B and threw in some House music. He even let loose the wrath of Eminem or is it Slim Shady still?? The crowd was having ah ball, from sexy winin' to bustin' out the latest Hip Hop moves. And the bar? Dey don't know about ouncers... 3/4 Henny and Hypnotiq and 1/4 Red Bull for me please.... and keep bringin' dem on yessssssssssss!!!!

To put an end to the amazing few days this TJJ crew had in Tobago, the only ting we wanted was just relax on the beach at Store Bay. With a little bake and saltfish and smoke herring for breakfast, de 'itis' will lick yuh down rel quick, so yuh could either pull out de towel to buss ah sleep or take a dip in de clear salt water and just ride de waves and remember this moment only lasts so long!! Hmmmmmmmmmm..... what a life!

Still in la la land.... Sachsquash signin out from the sister isle!!!
