in Miami we are having bad weather, we talkin' bout thunderstorms and lightning;
however, no bad weather can interrupt TJJ's weekend fete agenda! While driving
on the 836 (not too far from the venue), I saw an American Airline Boeing aircraft
taking off. Hummmm? The 94th Aero Squadron is a well know restaurant, and evidently
it's known especially for the scenic view of the Miami International Airport (MIA)
runway. It
is located on the South side parallel of MIA, and the view alone is out of this
world because you actually feel like you're on the runway. When we pulled up around
1:30 am, there was no rain, and better yet..... we had no problems finding parking.
As we entered the fete, there was a decorated buffet style table with a large
platter of fruits, vegetables, and cheeses that throughout the course of the night
was replenished regularly. There were two bars, one inside the fete, and the other
outside where the fete continued under the starry night. The
music was off the chain with a combination of dancehall, roots reggae, and soca.
The dance floors inside and outside was packed with people dancing. As
I was starting to get my dance groove on, I saw a waiter walking around with an
oversize platter of finger foods such as wings, egg rolls, and cheeses. Very nice
touch. I
must say... 94th Aero Squadron is an excellent venue, which was large enough to
hold the capacity of people that showed up. The view of the airplanes taking off
and as some landed it made the fete even more intriguing. Sig
