Yeeeees! We were all "Right Dey" inside in de Kool Haus for de KOS party, Soca or Die 7 celebrating de birthday of de doctor himself, Dr. Jay de Soca Prince. TJJ arrived on the scenes around 9:30pm, just before de doors open to avoid the long line up. But we are happy to report that when security "open de gate", de line was flowin' like JWB... smooth and nice. As always we must find de bar, hold down ah limin' spot and survey de scenes. Well we gotta tell allyuh about de Soca Warrior's Crew. Just before de crowd took over de floor, this crew organized ah warm up in ah circle in de middle ah de floor!! YES!! yuh read it right... ah warm up, you know sort of like some soca aerobics, it was a sight to see! However within de hour or so, party ram, place hot, fete sell off!!!

There were some BIG artists with BIG chunes present. Unfortunately the only one artist that could not make it was Iwer George due to elections in Trinidad, however de rest of the lineup was insane! Nine amazing artists and one legendary band inside Kool Haus.... it really couldn't get any better? On the one's & two's playin' de music that night were Soca Sweetness, marXman, DJ Chief alongside de mc's who always keep de crowd movin' Dirty Dez, E Man and Brenton B ... all de big men in de business!!!

We could only remember lookin out to the crowd and seeing a display of colours, from flags, to custom t-shirts or wining crews (big up de Soca Smackdown and Caribbean Girls crew ). People surely represented to de fullest. Everyone's spirits were so enchanting, we knew there was nowhere else to be but inside de Kool Haus and just when you thought it wasn't going to get any sweeter - the clocks were turning back an hour. OMG, did someone say an extra hour of drinking & wining??!! Lawd Pressure!

Okay, so de show started off immediately because there were soooo many BIG artists, so why wait..... de first person to bless de stage was TIZZY From Antigua's El-A-Kru. She had de whole crowd "Expooooooosed" to sweet Soca! De fellas were going crazy as she was winin' from left to right, up top to down low... she definitely kicked off de performances with her energy. Next on stage we had RICKY T known for his 2k7 hit "Pressure Boom". We felt like de crowd couldn't handle de preeeeeesure though ... LOL ... continuous vibes. The next artist made de crowd go wild … her presence lit up everyone's eyes as she walked onto the stage... Ms NADIA BATSON of KES The Band was in de building!!!! Singing her big chune "Caribbean Girl" to her unreleased chune for Trinidad Carnival 2008, "My Posse", every man jack was jumpin' up with their posse!!!!! But yuh see when Nadia's line "lemme see yuh push back yuh waistine" dropped, man and woman was actually pushin' baaaaaaack!! Wickedness we tell yuh! Ah think even Nadia got excited with de crowd's reaction to her new chune because all of ah sudden she fling off she shoes like she was jammin' down de road!!!!!!

Vincy's PROBLEM CHILD blessed de stage right after. The crowd was still hype from Nadia's performance so yuh could imagine de kinda forwards he was gettin' before he even performed his hit "Party Animal". He started to walk off stage and de crowd started begging and chanting "ooooh ooooo ... oooooh oooooo"; that's when he ran back and dropped it on them... all de party animal's were swaying from side to side singing word for word. When we tell yuh, he had all de ladies weak once his shirt came off!!!

To top off de night, de big Bajan band, KROSFYAH with EDWIN YEARWOOD, KHIOMAL and ADRIAN DUTCHIN gave de crowd a few extra minutes of niceness. We must say they came with nothing less than BIG chunes... included in their performance were two of Barbados top Soca artists, LIL' RICK and MR. DALE. It's like Hypa Dawg couldn't wait ("Caan Wait") to see Mr. Dale bring out de Soca Junkies ("Soka Junkie") ... lol! Nah, but serious, their performances were wiiiicked! When these gentleman came off de stage, the Soca or Die crowd was left feeling completely content!!

The party continued with nothing but niceness for de rest ah de night.... bumper's swaying and people singin' out loud and clear. We know de Soca Warriors Crew left de building in ah great mood because they were winner's for best crew, and indeed they were ~ big ups! So they walked away with free tickets for their members to de next big KOS fete!! Congrats, it was well deserved!!!

We can't wait for de next meeting with we fellow islanders! Thanks to Dr. Jay & the KOS family for another great night of niceness where Soca was promoted with true love and passion! Next stop - Big People Parang - arrreeeebaaaa!
