Date: Monday 12th February 2007 Location: #8 Queen's Park West. Trinidad Promotions: Smile Committee Click on thumbnails to see the big picture/entire gallery It's Monday night and the Fetealotathon® continues in full swing. The first event of the evening takes us to a historic venue around the Queens Park Savannah. Things to make you "Smile" is the theme for the evening. TJJ pulled up to the venue about 9pm and while this event is in full swing, right around the corner the excitement is already building for yet another Carnival tradition, the big PNM fete. No worries though, parking was easy and TJJ was welcomed at the door with open arms. Not too long after team TJJ arrived up jumps Blazer Dan to take the stage and buss some of his big tunes for 2007 like "Be Mine Tonight" and "Higher Than Higher". Nice performance, but d Christmas song during Carnival doh, wa is da one breads? :-) Although not as ram as we would have liked it to be (perhaps due to the date change this year from Carnival Friday to the Monday in the same week), this All Inclusive event delivered on all that was promised. Stew pork, Geera pork, Haagen-Dazs cyah dun and chocolate covered strawberries were just a few of the treats for the crowd on hand. Yuh know we had to sample everything. Who ever bubble dem pots know what they was about, the food was on point. Top of the list for the TJJ Fetealotathon® Team is how smooth yuh bar flowin'. Smile passed the test with flying colors with no wait at the bar what so ever and the bar was well stocked up to the final bell. Large up Devaughn and the Smile crew for having us. This one is definitely on the TJJ list for 2008. See you guys next year! We gone again, this time we checkin' out an event at the Trinidad Country Club that was not part of the Fetealotathon®. We were told that only other teams could participate in this event, but not us. Luckily, we know Carnival and we also know Carnival people!! :-) Even though we cannot share our findings about this other event with you guys, it was another long night for Team TJJ. See you guys in Tucker Valley tomorrow at the Fetealotathon® Event 6 "A.W.O.L"! Big W aka the Appraiser for Team TJJ |
