Ah guy walks by holding his cell phone as if attempting to hide his lips from potential lip readers, yet with the entire phone across this mouth.... having the audience hear his conversation was on the lower end of this priorities."Horse, ah in de Rum Jungle!" If those that he was sending this announcement to didn't get the message, we sure did!

Ya see if you from Queens or anywhere in the Metro NYC area, then you know that Rum Jungle on a Saturday night is your regular Caribbean party staple. De sure bet! DJs jamming everything from soca, reggae, dancehall, hip hop, plenty back in times dub, salsa and ah sure if ya wait long enough you might even hear Cranberries' "Zombie".

Rum Jungle on a Saturday have all ya friends and family from Queens, including de smallie dat ya see in Sandy's Roti shop de other day. I personally like de vibes when people drinking like is free drinks. Doh leh me hear free drinks up in de Jungle, cause den is real madness.

So de occasion that send de Dr. driving up to NYC was de announcement of de "Rum Jungle 3rd Anniversary Bikini Fashion Show." TJJ TV was up in de house in full effect. We just need to learn how to get out of de shower ah little faster. By de time we walk, make dat run through de door it was already 1:30am and the catwalk show was over. What grief! Fortunately to bring a smile to any disappointed and weary traveler's face are the Rum Jungle dancers. Let's just say that they were there and they were fabulous. And the good folks at Media Creations also provided us with a few shots from the show. Thanks guys!

In de end, TJJ take de opportunity to enjoy de hospitality of de Rum Jungle family. We had a few drinks, took a few pictures, mingle with some of de Miami Carnival crew in town and 'boogle' some. Ah must say, Ricky T's Lucian 2007 Road March "Pressure Boom" does bring out de mad in any crowd.

So when you call a man on Saturday night and he say, "Horse, ah in de Rum Jungle!" Dat mean I already reach de spot and if you looking for me I by de bar.
