Forbidden "The Private Party". This was the theme of Black
Velvet Concepts party held on one of those Nights B 4 D Holiday. Located
in St. Clair just opposite to the main entrance of the Queens Park Oval,
we could hear the music pumping as we entered through the bright red fabric that
dressed the iron framework of the security scaffolding structure.
It
was just about midnight, and on the inside things were just heating up. As such
we took the time to chill ah bit and check out the set up and ambiance. Let's
see ... 3 bars, one to the right, one to the extreme left and one to the back.
There was also a Hennessey booth with de usual sexy promo girls and ting too!
Let's not forget about de Axe girls strutting about as well :-) Now seeing that
it was a free drinks affair, it looked like ample bars were going to be readily
available. A definite plus! There was also a food bar with all sorts of treats
for patrons to indulge in during the course of the night. The assortment ranged
from cutters and doubles all de way to fresh fruit that could be dipped in a chocolate
fountain. Häagen-Dazs and Ocean Spray were also there whipping up some ohhhhh
so tantalizing and delightful cocktails and treats. Patrons were surely in the
forbidden land tonight. The
DJ was stationed up top at the front of the party. Allowing the musical vibes
to flow throughout the night were DJ Aaron, Tweeze and Detrimental
all in that order. Folks took a while to warm up to the music, but when they did,
it seemed as though they could not get enough. Some continually begged the DJ
for one last song even as the clock rolled up to 5 AM... this after he had already
granted their requests about two or three songs ago! Is like some Trinis doh have
ah home to go to ehh??!! ... LOL So,
let's recap..... good drinks, great food and nice music. We didn't seem to mention
anything about the crowd? We'll let the pictures do all the talking. Oh and not
forgetting, there was the presence of some huge live snakes on display which most
definitely added that special touch to the whole forbidden theme. You dun know
TJJ had to wrap a snake round we neck too! As usual Black Velvet Concepts, good
vibes! D
