Gentle Peoples, let us first apologize here for tekking sooooo long to get these pan photos out.... yuh see, we land in sweet TnT on de 1st of the month and had to take some time to soak everything after coming off a weekend with fetes like Ladies 1st and RBTT's Passion for Soca, and then reaching in de Queen's Park Savannah for ah sweet Sunday evening lime.

What can we say about Pan Semis this year? Well for one, the North Stand was definitely missed. And not having a North Stand was the main reason nuff people never even bother with pan this year. There was still a Grand Stand something (South Stands), but on the other side of the main stage, people were just on the greens with tents set up in certain locations in the now called "North Greens". You had all de usual Pan Crews doing the drinks inclusive & food limes, and we must say a special thanks to everyone that showed TJJ mad love opening up their lime, food and drinks to us! Wow, like we said, we jus had to really soak in jus how sweet we Trini people are... and no matter how bad people say we lil' island get, it's still ah paradise!

It's Conventional Bands - Small (15), Medium (14) and Large (16) to compete. We reach pan about 6ish, and position #9 medium band, Carib Dixieland, was now getting set up. So with a cold Stag and corn soup in hand, we decided to scopes out the crowd and snap a few photos for allya that ent make it down. We have some hotties having ah time, along with some actual pan shots too.... yeah, it's not always just about hot Trini women...... we does actual take photos of we culture too! ;-)

Time check.... 10:30pm, and position # 6 large band, PCS Starlift is on stage.... which meant either you liming in de Savannah until 2-3 in de morning to take in all the large bands or decided to pack up de coolers and head home. About ah quarter of the day's crowd held on to hear their favourite bands like Neal & Massy Trinidad All Stars (position #8), BP TT Renegades (position #10), Sagicor Exodus (position #14) and Phase II Pan Groove (position #15). For the rest, pack up dem coolers... time to roll out! Oh, if you wanted to know the results, Phase II topped the Semis for Large Pan Category, Dixieland for Small Pan Category and Merrytones for Small Pan Category.

Big up all crew and crew (VIP Friday, Eat It and Red Ants crews) that enjoyed themselves on the greens. The lime was sweeeeeeeeet. Like Hypa Hoppa say, the NCC (National Carnival Commission) might have to change de name to "National Pan Jazz Festival" or something with this new set up.
