It was jus JAH in the ATL as Luciano, Mickey General and Jamelody said 'We In This Together.' This Pre-Thanksgiving event was all about giving thanks for the blessings that flowed all thru the year, and the TJJ family was present, thanks to Rico Vibes, to share in the blessings. Early jugglin' by John Wayne of MVMTS and Rico Vibes of Natural Vibes set the mood with consciousness before the Millennium Band, one of the bigger back-up bands from JA, took over the stage. Dey rocked the house layin' d foundation for Jamelody (myspace.com/jamelodymusic), young upcoming VP Reggae artist from Trinidad & Tobago. Jamelody melodious voice drew the crowd in the split level Club Aquarium to the stage making for a sweet vibe. After four tracks from his new album to drop in January 2008, host Jason Skywalker of WRFG-Reggae with his big voice introduced the next artist. Entering DDD General... Mikey General straight from his tour of Africa performing in places like Senegal, Gambia, Ghana, Ethiopia and Zimbabwe; so he was filled with that strong spiritual vibes from the Motherland. Hitting fans with hits like "That Way" and "In Yuh Head", the general even came back on stage at the end with Luciano to sing their hit song "Red Inna Rome". Then at 4:15am came the one, the new living voice of truth, the "The Messenger" Luciano, to read the basic instructions before leaving earth to the Christians, Hebrews, Israelites, BoBo Shanties, Rastas and Baldheads alike; all loving the irie vibrations with lots of energy Pappa Lucice always bring. He jumped on stage, off stage, did tumbles and cartwheels and even prayed to bring in the daylight during his performance, leaving the Club Aquarium crowd wanting more. Luciano gave young artist Conanjah a chance to perform for the crowd who never left. When calling Conanjah, Luciano remarked, "There can be no Con in Jah!" Even with his clothes soaked top to bottom, he went backstage to sign autographs and take photos with the fans til about 6am. TJJ stayed to the end as this was one of the best performances we've seen of The Messenger (we prefer to say The Messenjah) since our first sighting in 1996 in Trini when he gave Sizzla a break on stage. Nuff respect to big Rico Vibes of Club Aquarium and promoters John Wayne and D Fine Ent, you did it again! JSAB for the TJJ fam. |
