It's Sunday ... Day 5 of the GFW and at roughly 3 AM (on Monday morn you cud say), the TJJ team met up to head down to Pigeon Point. After finding ah quick park on the beach we took the long stroll in, passing folks both making their way into the fete as well as some leaving.

Now this fete was carded to begin at 12 AM and go till 9 AM, so we figured by about 3 .... 4-ish things shud be starting to pick up. On de inside the DJ was located on stage up front, the bar to the back and adjacent to it, the food stall. It was quite a big venue and for most of the time that we were there, the crowd was mainly split into two sections. The larger gathering located at the back by the bar and the rest up front closer to the stage.

There was generally a mello vibe in the air, with an occasional stir of excitement coming about whenever the DJ showed off his skills and talents. His antics and comical comments was one way in which he hyped folks, while some of the selections he played like the techno remixes and herbalist sessions was the other. Folks who we saw didn’t move for the night at least put down a small wine or scant for some of these tunes.

There was also a competition going on to determine who was going to be The Last Crew Standing, which we believe had a cash prize to it of $10,000. Most participants of this contest were the patrons located up front, identified by their group outfits. We now see why the front of the fete had all de action and entertainment going on.

Before the sun could ever rise however, we had to make our way out so unfortunately we never got the opportunity to see how things turned out for the breakfast aspect of the event. Maybe de action got hotter, maybe it didn’t!!?? Well TJJ’s next stop .... Golden Star for Reggae Night.
