Tonight along several other events, was the TJJ South FL Team Christmas lime. So with no if's and's or but's I made a pit stop in Ft. Lauderdale to celebrate with the TJJ family.... bring sips! TJJ's SM did an excellent job with the food, especially after slaving in de kitchen all day! *wink wink* Wicked, the lime was nice everytime.

Next on my agenda was Gen X Annual Christmas Party. I end up at Bayside Hut around 2:00 in the morning, and the party was going strong. Ah notice this is the time people here in South Florida like to start partying. The line to get in the party was moving, which is a change, because Gen X parties are known for the extra masses of people and long lines. Once inside it was ah Caribbean Christmas experience, Christmas lights, Christmas tree, Santa Claus and even Santa’s lil helpers aka de Gen X girls! Fellas oh yes, the Gen X girls were representing their Christmas spirit in their Santa Helpers’ outfits. ;-)

On the food menu was baked ham, pastelles (yummy), along with BBQ chicken, fried rice, and chow mein. There were even chicken, beef and shrimp roti too. After those pastelles next stop was by the bar, meh bartender Camilo (photo) was again working his magic with the drinks.

DJ Dorenzo, De Rebel and Selectah Gennesis entertained the crowd with sweet, sweet Soca music. At one point there was a jam session on the dance floor. Gen X also presented Christmas gifts to the crowd. And to top it off, there was a dance off competition, to the sound of Tony Matterhorn's popular "Dutty Wine".

The rule of the contest was to wine and get on bad on Santa, but some of the contestants weren't really into Santa. These contestants may have coals in their stockings this year, yes!! LOL. I think it was the jolly ole look Santa had on his face. The winner of the competition received a plane ticket from Travel Span. You got to love Gen X for their great giveaways at their events.

Great fete! Special thanks to Gen X for the hospitality through out 2007 and we're definitely looking forward for 2008. Next fete on their agenda UNI FETE "Carnival Warm-up” on Sat January 26th, 2008.
