After a successful Miami Carnival Episode, that saw the likes of Dr. Jay from Toronto, Walshy Fire from Miami, and X-calibur Sound from Trinidad bless the dance and rell mash it up in Sosta Lounge, we kinda wondered what things would be like for the next episode when everyone had returned from whence they came. The flyer said it was the "Best Friends Forever Episode", and since us guys don't really have BFFs, the ladies were permitted in 2 for the price of 1 all night long. In case yuh best friend broke nah! The guys were not left out as Happy Hour from midnight till 1am promised 2 for 1 drinks. In case yuh best friend is a lush nah! Also we can't lie, we were looking forward to the corn soup that we have come accustomed to at FRIENDS, and let us tell you if yuh doh move fast it done lickity split.

This FRIENDS episode was also celebrating the birthday of TJJ’s very own Shameen, so we figured some of the local FRIENDS of the Jungle would certainly be in attendance. So we fall in just before 1am, not early enough for free entry bout not late enough to miss the 2 for 1 drinks, we ain't chupid! There was a sizable crowd for what is considered early in these parts, and we noticed some new faces in the crowd we haven't seen before..... seems word of the last event was spreading around South FL. Further evidence of this was that we noticed as the night went on, that one by one most of South Fl's biggest promoters were coming through the door, including Gary Hart who got on the mic to remind folks about the upcoming return of Stage 3 Thanksgiving weekend.

Tonight, resident FRIENDS DJ's Major Links and C.I.Dee Sound were holding it down like they were inspired, probably wanting to show folks that with the star DJ cast gone, the music at FRIENDS is still of da chain. Partygoers were definitely impressed by their selection and mixing, and some were even shocked that these were the same guys who had been here all along. Now because it was Shameen's birthday, C.I.Dee blessed her with an extended old school mix.... ah mean come on, she was dressed as the Material Girl after all (photo). So you know with all the old school, and with the 2 for 1 drinks from earlier, folks was bussin' out all the old moves in the dancing circle. By the time C.I.Dee finish off with U2's “I Still Haven't Found”, people thought they were in Upper Level oui! And to mix it with some Soca too, whaay! And with that, Major Links take over and hit them with some pace in dey waist... yes, it was musical bliss.

One more FRIENDS to go for 2007, so you know it's not to be missed.... Jingle Friends all the way!! Oh, before that, sixAxis Ent. is throwing a lil Pre-Thanksgiving bash called The Good Life, so you know TJJ up in that too!!
