Date: Sunday 15th April 2007 Location: Treasure Queen. Pier 2, Chaguaramas. Trinidad Promotions: Aviator Entertainment Click on thumbnails to see the big picture/entire gallery Lovely Sunday morn and we just pulled into Pier 2. But wait nah... where de cars??!! Its twenty to one and de boat carded to set sail at 1 PM. Humm... only about 15 cars lined off in the parking lot and so we soon start questioning ourselves. Like de fete buss!..... De boat eh leave us, look it right dey!...... Did we mix up the timing?
Well our feelings of uncertainty soon eased, as little by little we began to see people arriving. Pretty soon the entire waiting area was filled with folks who apparently knew a little more than we did about the actual departure of the Treasure Queen, or its deliberate tardiness if one prefers putting it that way :-)
Things looking up now... the crowd size decent, nuff sexy ladies deck off in their fashionable attire and free shots even sharing while we wait to board. Jagermeifter anyone??!! At about 1:45 PM boarding began, and without too much delay we soon set sail.
As Flight Cruise set out on its 5th voyage, we couldnt help but marvel at the magnificent scenery... blue waters and green lush hillsides complimented with brilliant sunshine. Not the kinda of scenery that one gets to see everyday. Spectacular! As things set in, on board feters were busy making their drink orders at the bars while others set out to locate a spot where they could pitch tent for the rest of the cruise. Now calling down some drinks by de bar is a common thing, but you see on this boat ride, it was only Johnnie by the bottle. When last you see ah man go to de bar and call down 5 bottles of Johnnie in ah one??!! Like real big pappies on this boat, yes!
So de vibes irie, de drinks flowing more than de water the boat sailing in, and the music nice too bad! The DJs threw down tune pon tune that folks jamming. It definitely wasnt the rocking of the boat that had these partygoers moving.
At minutes to six this joy ride came to an end. As the ship pulled into port, people soon began to disembark. In the parking lot however, the after party was just getting started as coolers began flying out of vehicle trunks, car audio systems began pumping music and folks continued to party away, watching the sun set slowly.
