Date: Sunday 11th February 2007 Location: Treasure Queen, Pier 2. Trinidad Promotions: Aviator Click on thumbnails to see the big picture/entire gallery Event number three (AC 5 soon post) in the Fetealotathon®. It's Sunday afternoon, batteries in the TJJ cams get more recharge that the people behind the lenses, but we gone again! Imagine a perfect Sunday afternoon on a tropical island, bright sun, an endless breeze and more woman than yuh eyes could imagine seein'. The cruise pretty much symbolized what we mean by "Carnival Is Woman!" What better place is there to be, but on a boat headin' down de islands! Flight Cruise 4 was on and poppin' before the boat even left the docks of Pier 2! Talk bout vibes . DJ Daryl got things goin' and by the time Jugglers (Barry on the 1s and 2s) hit the console with Umba (Matismela Sound) on the mic it was pandemonium! Three levels of heaven on that boat yes. Top floor to soak in the beauty of our land and appreciate 360 degrees of breathtaking scenery while yuh partyin'. Second floor to partake in some beverages, which by the way were two for one. We ga talk bout service later. :-) The bottom deck was..... well that was were people were becoming movie stars. :-) If yuh see action!!! This cruise is easily a compulsory event in the Fetealotathon®. Just when yuh thought things could not possibly get any better or that the vibes must level off soon, it was "maintain ah intensity" as Dr. Jay de Soca Prince (Toronto) hit the turns with E Man on the mic of steel. Even Giselle D'Wassi One came on the mic from time to time pumpin' in more energy. Yuh gotta love when the BK and TDOT crew in the dance, that mean the energy high and Jay partyin' just as hard as the crowd while he playin'. Special Carnival moments fuh real yes. Did we mention the women??!! :-) One of our favorite topics now, service! Tallman behind the bar needed ah little lesson in courtesy, the old illusive customer service in our paradise eh. :-) Also, the cruise was 2-4-1 bottles not 2-4-1 drinks, maybe this was a point they should have made absolutely clear before hand as some folks thought it was two for one drinks period. Not a huge deal as it was a bottle buying kind of crowd anyway! The day was perfect the vibes was on. Did we mention woman? To round off an already perfect event, as yuh walk off the boat, party start again with a SERIOUS iron section, Hands of Rhythm, taking us home with big big riddims like Machel's "Jumbie!" Fantastic time was had by all, who say next year! :-) David and Barry, thanks for the usual luv. We headin' down Barataria now for Georgian Jubilation 2007 .... yuh ting it easy! |
