Fetalotathon® Day 5, event number 10, Team TJJ still going strong. We comin' off A.W.O.L and POSE "Rhythm & Style", now we in the Oval for the big Eyes Wide Shut 2007 around 1:45 AM. No worries to get in and no worries to get back stage, so the mood is right up as they say. If yuh see people in this dance. We never thought we could see the Oval wall tuh wall with people so. We reach just in time for the Machel Montano HD show; we could not do it any better if we planned it. With an objective to take photos of only folks wearing masks, we only askin' people where yuh mask? They say in too HOT! As long as yuh havin' ah good time, that's what it's all about right??!! So with time against us, we had to flip de plan and try and capture as much vibes as we could.

As you could well imagine "Jumbie" had the entire place goin mad. The last time we see so many people outta body and back tuh deyself was in AC5! After the HD show we decided to take a walk thorough the crowd. It was abundantly clear that the weather definitely had an impact on EWS Carnivalé last year. Imagine it take about 40 minutes to get from backstage to the back of the Oval. This might have been an issue if it were not for the scenery :-) We slowly getting back to weself now after a day full of libations at a daytime all inclusive, so we could now study a bar visit. The chit business was a daunting thought but it didn't turn out to be too bad after all.

Denise Belfon and Spontaneous did their thing and then it was time for d boss KMC and Red, White & Black to take the stage. We hadn't seen him in any Fetalotathon® events yet, so we were looking forward to hearing them. After all, we is KMC fans even before big tunes like "Bashment To Carnival"! HD is a hard act to follow but KMC and his band definitely held their own. Sound de BIG tune "Take Over" .... "7 o'clock Tuesday morning, people take over de streets..." As a matter of fact the crowd was very disappointed that they could not do their full performance because apparently the fete had to be over at 3:30 AM which was a pretty strange time for a fete to end on a Carnival Wednesday. KMC was clearly caught off guard, and so were his fans. Hopefully next year we'll get the usual four o'clock or so finish.

Eyes Wide Shut Carnivalé has become a force to be reckoned with on Carnival Tuesday. The Oval definitely had the Carnival Jumbie. Wall to wall people, great times, woman woman and more woman, this is what Carnival is all about. Thanks for inviting us Eyes Wide Shut! Big respect to The Commission. We'll see you guys same place same time next year!
