Ahh yes! A beautiful night for the first big boat ride of the season. TJJ arrived at the infamous Circle Line Cruises Pier 83 just in time, as people were already boarding. Tunes in full swing as we walked the plank onto the boat. Everyone looked very stylish wearing his or her black outfits in keeping with the theme. Well you know, first things first, we headed straight for the bar. Now we am not complaining but geez, the bar is exceptionally expensive!! Big Steups! Boat ride tix $40, Parking $30. Drink at the bar $12. Getting your drink on just before you board.... priceless.

Moving right along... the boat was ram!!! According to our little birdie informant, many folks were left behind, even the food. Now we don't know exactly why, but all we know is they real miss a good time and we don't think the food was really missed! People were too busy in dey lakaray! At one point, we swear we saw someone swinging from the rafters and winin on the garbage can! Not to mention the Soca trains and the wheelbarrow winin! One TJJ member was unfortunately inappropriately groped while making our way through the bacchanal. While everyone was sweaty from all the jammin, fellas, we know you all enjoyed the sexy young ladies in Jumbie costumes serving jello shots.

The designated area for the performances got reaal tight because of course everybody wanted to get a good look at Trinity, Pelf and the man himself, Iwer. Trinity did his thing as usual. That young man can saang ok! Pelf gave us a taste of his boat ride anthem and a preview of his latest single. All the while iron beatin hard hard!! Wheey, talk about rhythm and vibes.

Well when Iwer George got on the mic, he took us waaaay back to his very first chune and then just let it rip from then until the 2k7 monster jam "Fete After Fete"! How could we forget to mention this woman of a certain age, who was set like a mappipir waiting to buss what turned out to be some serious winin!

Thank you Benji and Desma! What a way to set off the boat ride season!!!
