picture/entire gallery It's
another Glam Friday at Zen but with a twist, tonight there was going to be a special
2k8 band launch for new comer Evolution. TJJ arrived at Zen around 11-ish. The
crowd outside indicated that there was a lot of buzz about this new mas band produced
by legendary bandleaders Curtis Eustace and Faried Carvalho. Well with the usual
guest list procedure, soon we were on de inside with drinks in hand awaiting the
nights presentation. At
about 11:30 PM, an Artist emerged on stage ready to display the masterpieces he
had created through the expression of colour, emotion and experience. The mas
presentation which lasted for about 25 minutes, showcased the 11 sections supporting
the band's theme for Carnival 2K8 ... Colours of Imagination. The
names of the sections (in order of appearance) that were displayed by the sexy
models (and we must add how impressed we are with the quality of models we have
seen for the season thus far) were African Gold, Mint Passion, Batterys
Golden Opportunity, Purple Rain, Out of the Blue, Pink Floyd, Green With Envy,
Rouge, Raspberry Ice, Orange Appeal, and Tantalize in Teal; all quite stunning
and true to their name. Things ended off with flambeau men then taking up various
positions before they soon began throwing flames of fire into the air.
The media then got an
opportunity to get up close and personal with the models who remained on stage
while the party settled back into the usual club ambiance. Now with the 3 levels
of Zen, allyuh know we had to check them all out. First stop ... Rooftop with
The Amateurs who were having their usual Friday engagement. Looks like the flambeaux
men were all over the place, as they were also lighting up the nights sky
with fire to the amazement of the Zen Rooftop spectators. Continuing
with our tour, it was down to VIP which also had its unique style and flavour
of both music and people. So we take a quick mingle and ting before breaking out
to head over to the city that never sleeps a.k.a St. James for the opening of
the new lounge called Bourgeois. In leaving, we definitely felt that Evolution's
band launch added to the nights entertainment. We mean.... what could be
better than your favourite music and alcohol combined with the sight of sexy women
all sparsely clad??!! |
