Things don’t always go as planned and as such Team #1 of the Trini TJJ Unit is always on call. While at a little birthday bash on Saturday night, our pagers went off. The game plan had changed and we now needed to head down Chaguaramas. Suit up folks... we’ve got a party to attend!

We reached down to West Palm Hotel surprisingly in little but no time. Traffic was a breeze. Being our first time at the hotel, we took a quick look around then speedily made our way to the entrance after realizing what de time was (about 2:30 in de morn). Linked up at the door and boom boom... we were on de inside. From observing the scene, we saw some folks liming to the left, a bar and some more folks liming to the right and a huge pool smack dead in front of us. No stopping as yet as we were being escorted to the VIP area up top. Up here one could really enjoy the view. Not only could we see the entire poolside party, but also in the distance the many yachts afloat on the moonlit waters of the Chaguaramas shoreline.

While in VIP we saw the drinks flowing and decided to see what the premium drinks being offered were. But wait, somebody forgot to give us VIP bands!! Small ting ... we could buy a drink or 2!

Now besides de bad head we had from de b’day bash a little earlier, we were also experiencing some technical difficulties with our equipment as well. When it rains it really pours in true... pressure!! Say wha, we are veterans in de game, we’ll work things out. Make a little check by de other bar, take ah little drink and then time to *snap* *snap*.

The "Photo of de Night" going to ah out-ah-towner, whose picture sure took de cake. After getting de thumbs up from his sober friend, we made sure to capture the moment. This guy looked like he definitely had himself ah time, yes! The boys in blue were also not too shy of the camera lights tonight as well, as they posed off several times for us.

Around 3 AM some special guest artists, including Ziggy Ranking ("Love How Yuh Wining"), began blessing up de place with some live entertainment. Enjoyed my many they carried things closely up to the hour of four, at which time our beds began calling. Things were also wrapping up, and as tiredness began setting in, we packed up and said our good-byes ensuring that we had some energy saved for the voyage home.
