So meh boy calls me at 12:30 am (note is am and not pm)... “Yuh going BPF?” Since when is after midnight ah good time to check to see if someone going to fete? Well if you're from de Caribbean this is ah normal ting indeed. Especially if yuh headin to BPF where midnight is early to be in de fete, and you could literally turn yuh head from a half empty dance and turn back to see de dance ram out jus like dat. PSA - could we try to reach de fete ah lil' earlier people? Some of us driving from far, thank yuh!
So the parking getting good folks – for a ehem, small $10 you can have a short walk to the fete, and a short stumble back to de car (way more important)! So, what yuh want to know? Let’s see... Drinks flowin', music jammin', and the girls dem shorts getting shorter and shorter as the summer progress... well yes. And is a good thing they strict at de door with being over 21 cause Akon would easily find trouble here as well. Hehe. You see dis night had a particularly playful vibe. We could feel that people really came to let loose. Some of de photos probably didn’t make it onto the website to protect the innocent (and not so innocent). Maybe we’ll do a BPF Gone Wild edition one day! But in any case I was well reminded of my “on de ground” days of yester year. For you spring chickens dat’s a song you should investigate.
So there was plenty of bumsee to go around (although we did miss you Tricia) and the DJ kept dem bouncing! The weather was too nice for my taste though. It was cooler than we thought it would be. I from de ole school – unless yuh leave drippin', then de fete wasn’t good. But, I may have to rethink dat and learn some new tricks though, cause we had a great time and de only thing I would change is the red bull on tap! WHA VIBES? Other dan dat.... we'll see you next month – before 1 am.
