Well for the first time in a long time TJJ make it to the dance early in South FL... and when ah say early, ah mean just before midnight! And much to our surprise the party was already ram. If you’ve been to a BPF fete before, you know that the feters doh usually get there til like 2-3 in the morning, but tonight was something special. BPF was hosting the original jah bless Prophet Benjamin aka "Real Congo Bungo" live and direct from Trinidad. And if you look through the crowd you woulda know that something different was happening tonight without even seeing the flyer because you saw a lot of unfamiliar faces in the crowd. Even TJJ's very own Panidad was on the inside... making her way back home from a great Crop Over'07.

Undoubtedly de Prophet brought his faithful following to the dance, and nuff props to de Prophet who gave a long stellar performance in his full traditional rastafarian garb despite the nasty heat that only Miami can provide at 2 in the morning. Prophet sang a host of songs including his hits like "Pretty Boy", "Coming From Moruga", "Saving Your Love" and "Delilah On D Loose". He even had the odd person in the crowd who never heard of de Prophet before singing along.

In a nutshell, the vibes was blessed and nice. And as usual, the BPF resident DJs were in their usual fine form, giving the crowd a nice taste of some back in time Dancehall aka Dub for those of us old enough to remember when those songs were hot. Chris and Stephan, doh worry.... ah not calling any names.... hehehe.
