Date: Sunday 7th October 2007 Location: Blue Martini (Mary Brickell Village). Miami, FL Promotions: Blue Martini Click on thumbnails to see the big picture/entire gallery After a full day of excitement that entailed jumpin', wavin', winin', wukkin' up, drinkin', eatin', limin'... and oh yes, working at the 2007 Miami Carnival Parade & Festival, the exhausted TJJ Red Team was back on the Metro Mover on route to the Mary Brickell Village car park. Remember, we strategically parked far away to avoid all the traffic and commotion of the Carnival. Well this decision actually worked out quite nice. As we were walking up the Mary Brickell Village stairs, we heard the smooth sounds of what sounded like Jazz in the air. And like the true macco's (nosey people) we are, we followed our senses, which lead us straight to the Blue Martini. Now this lounge boasts of featuring over 25 superior martinis guaranteed to excite your taste buds and elevate your spirit.... sounds like de damn ting self, right? As we walked inside, it was plain to see why the place is called the "Blue" Martini by the decor and ambiance. And to have a sexy, female singer welcome us with a sweet smile and smooth, sultry voice was all we needed to whip our cameras out. Little did we know that we were being entertainment by the one and only Christina Sichta, known for her soul singing with a Jazz and Classic Rock edge. As we enjoyed the live entertainment, we mingled with both staff and patrons; one who coincidentally has a good Trini friend. Don't you love when you meet a non-Trini, who has a good Trini fren? Their stories are most intriguing, especially when they imitate the Trini accent. We were getting some good jokes, yes! Christina, you sounded great! Beautiful! You can check out Christina Sichta at www.christinasichta.net or myspace.com/christinasichtamusic. Also, we heard that the Blue Martini is on and poppin' on Fridays and Saturdays.... so, definitely stop by sometime. See their band schedule at www.bluemartinilounge.com. Okay, it's time to head home and soak our soar feet. Wait, we never got to try one of their superior martinis? Next time! Daddy Juice out |
