Whenever there is a holiday weekend in South Florida, there are an abundance of parties, and one has to pick and choose carefully, otherwise you will find yourself standing in a mostly empty venue wondering “so which party everyone at cause they ain’t here!” Or you might find yourself in a ram jam venue wondering “so which party should I really be at? Cause it ain’t here!” With Blink you never have either of those problems; always the right sized crowd and better yet, the right crowd - well dressed and well behaved. So with that in mind, TJJ decided to head down to familiar grounds, Big Fish and check out the Blink "Faces" edition, which also was the last of the Memorial Weekend 2007 four Club Hopper events. Man, we haven't been to a Blink session in quite some time.

By now it was Sunday night, so in the fuss place we ain’t used to partying on a Sunday, it’s for watching ball, kicking ball and eating macaroni pie, but its Memorial Day weekend so we gone. We got to downtown Miami just after 1AM but couldn't find parking. The usual spot just down from Big Fish lockup, and we see two fellas who look like they was trying to pick the lock. We have always wondered who gave them the authority to charge folks for parking in a construction site??!! Cause lawd knows they ain’t there watching the cars when the party done! But that’s for another time.

So finally the ride secured away and we walk up to the gate, a smallish line outside, but not for us as we proceed to the back gate for ‘special entry’. Special thanks to Jono who extended back gate privileges to the extended TJJ crew that made it down this night. Once inside we could see we were still a lil bit early as the crowd was still a bit thin, but this was to be expected as earlier in the day was the Best of the Best Concert, and you know most of the ladies would not be caught dead in the same outfit in two different events. So in the earlies it was easy to move around, easy to see the pretty faces easy to get your drinks at the bar, so we took advantage of that. Good thing we did too, cause within the hour the place was packed from back to front. Seems like the ladies came out in their crews..... shout outs to the crew from Montreal and the Asian crew. Also the crew that rolled up to the party in their boats and docked alongside Big Fish getting their party on.... Ballin!! Getting there early we also noticed that Big Fish has been undergoing some renovations, more couches in the back area, the opened restaurant area was new to us even the hanging fabric made for a nice touch.

Now the place is full with pretty faces, our blood alcohol level is pretty full, and the DJs doing their thing providing a good mix of music of all genres to entertain the diverse crowd. Even for an uptown party, and yes this is an uptown party don’t get it twisted (but that’s why we came), there was a dancing crew, so it wasn’t all just standing around ackin' social.......... folks were having a good time. We surely did.
