So TJJ reach the parking lot just after 11o'clock and people were already by the boat waiting to get on board for the annual Big People Midnight Boat Ride. It looked like people pulled out their best attire, because every shirt was pressed and shoes shining under the moonlight. Now as soon as ah walked up the steps of the Matthew Flinders my belly started to grumble instantly from the smell of some homecooked FOOD!! As soon as ah got on board (and the boat did set sail at midnight), everyone was already in line for rhel wicked pelau, coleslaw, salad and of course ah can't forget the pepper sauce on top! There were two bars, one upstairs and the other downstairs, so people were limin' from top to bottom, inside to outside.

Alright, so now the party really start with Dr. Jay and Stretch X.O. spinnin only big chunes. Now doh get tie up, just because there was big people on de ride doh mean they doh know all the big chunes. From mom’s to dad’s, uncle’s to aunties and niece’s to nephews, everyone was jammin' down de road with ah sugar boy/girl... lol. It was ah mixed crowd so no matter your age everyone was having ah good time. When the sweet reggae set hit the tables, the boat almost capside with all de rockin’. Thank goodness for the nice and cool ventilation because this party was definitely on fyah with the Rhythm Section constantly heating things up!!!!

After all the rockin', the legendary Scrunter direct from T&T, touched the mic with an amazing and lengthy performance. Ah mean, nobody could do what he does... and what he did was MASH UP DE RIDE singing hits like “Bachelor”, “Woman on the Bass” and “She want me to sing in she Party” to all the ladies and he cooled down the party with his new track “Water Truck”. Definitely ah big man in de business ~ Scrunter surely rocked that boat!!!

Now last call for de bar announced so yuh already know every man jack by de bar refilling they cups. Surprisingly this didn’t stop the bartenders from moving efficiently even though they singing along as they served everyone... ah even saw the cooks come downstairs and buss out ah lil wine, yes!!!!

The boat docked just after 4am ending off with some sweet music. The party done and everyone casually walked out together as one.... there were ah few “traffic jams” lol ... but only because they were all jammin’ through the door. Our belly’s were full, feelin' nice and tight and rhel content until we reach Whiteout til it brightout!!!
